Financial checks by HO

Post by Kiddo » Tue May 01, 2012 8:52 am

Hi all I am extending T1 visa soon. I am employeed and self employeed.

Q1. When HO checks my financial figures with my employeed company, do they just confirm if I am the employee or they will require my company to issue my wages slips again? I have wage slips and bank statements though.

Q2 I work as a tutor as self employeed. The clients are private so will these people be questioned by the HO? I mentioned this to some of the clients and they seem worried by the fact contacted by the HO.

Q3, my initial visa was granted when I was only employeed, now I'm also self employeed, some thread said 90% of these extensions would be refused, is that true?

anyone expecily those who had been financially checked by the HO advise please? It's really frustrating to prove earnings while self employeed.

Many thanks!

1 - They may want to verify every single thing you submit. If you have the pay slips and bank statements, I'd assume they are legit and if so, I would not worry at all. Let them carry out all the checks they want

2 - I understand you must have given your private clients invoice which they will pay you for. You need to submit these invoices and based on that, they may contact individuals to confirm your payments

3 - This is not true at all. It does not matter how you earn as long as you collect the right points.

Just to echo raxs1983 on the third point ..... it's a scaremongering rumour that is total rubbish and is of no use to anyone!

Again as raxs1983 says, applications are refused if criteria are not met rather than on a quota basis.

Please ignore it.
