Date Application Submitted Online 05/05/2012
but has not got an appointment date for the biometrics and to pay the fee as of yet. And on the UKBA website it says
[/quote]What is the date of your application if you are applying from outside the UK?
The date of your application is the date when your application fee is paid to us. This will be the date shown on your payment receipt, which depends on how you paid for your visa application - for example, at a visa application centre or online.
But on here

Well what if also there are changes such as maintenance requirements changes etc between the date when he/she submits a visa application online and the date when he/she is required to submit their documents and pay the fee at the UK EMbassy? will the person be subject to the new rules on the date he is required to pay the visa fee and submit his/her documents? Or would he still be under the rules of the date when he submitted the application online and what it says on the Application for Entry Clearance Form which states "Date Application Submitted Online 05/05/2012"?Your application date will be the date you submitted your online visa application. Your application fee will be the fee that is in place on the date when you submit your application online; In the unlikely event that the fee changes between the date when you submit your Tier 2 or Tier 5 UK visa application and the date when you are required to submit your documents you will not be required to pay any additional fees.
