1. I would advise sending a letter to UKBA requesting an update on status and if they are waiitng on any documentation from you.
2. Also send letter to your local MP explaining your situation

Hang in there, It can be very discouraging so try to keep calm until they get back to you.
Check for updates after the published time for status reports. If it gets really stressful, contact your MP for assistance in chasing this.
