General Medical Council (GMC) registration under EC rights

Hello Guys

I am from Russian. My spouse from Romania (EEA

county). He is exercising Treaty right in UK . Currently, I hold Resident Card

of Family Member of an EEA National. I am a qualified doctor , having

completed my degree from Non-Eu country.

I would like to register with GMC through EC rights route.

According to EC rights factsheet:

1.Those who are not nationals of an EEA state or Switzerland and who are the spouse/civil partner registered under the law of an EEA state of:

iii. a EU-2 national (footnote 4)(Romania, Bulgaria) in the UK as a self-employed person, or self-sufficient person;

Who should be self-employed person, or self-sufficient person? (me or my husband)?

I work part time and my husband works full time in UK. Are we in title self-employed person, or self-sufficient person?

You need to understand that there are restrictions on A2 nationals enjoying full EU rights. Specifically, they generally need a work permit to be employed. They do not need a work permit to be self-employed.

What is your EU national spouse doing in the UK? Are they working for an employer or do they have their own business?

@NIGINA....please i want to know how you went about the gmc registration via EC riight, having trained as a doctor abroad and a pose of an eea national with residence permit .plese share your experience

Hello Guys,
I am a Ukrainian citizen married to a British citizen. We met in Malta where I have lived for 3,5 years. We have recently moved to UK about 2 months ago. I am a Qualified doctor and was going to apply as an exempt person for GMC , but then they requested an entitlement to practice in the EEA state because i have relocated from Malta .Because i have not been registration as a doctor there and have not worked as a doctor I do not know where I could get this evidence.
Please does any one know or has the same situation
