Boy do I hate the agency or whatever they call them selves.
Good luck.
You guys are on the home stretch now.
second this. Even when my mp contacted them they talk BS. First time they told my mp ive been staying here illegally and my application was out of time, where in fact ive been living here legally for 14 years(long story about ilr) and my application was well in time. Second time they said i hadnt submitted an application, but i had the postage reference and biometric reference. third time was the standard it hasnt reached a caseworker.I wouldn't even advise u to call them because they chat a lot of crap. I would suggest you contacting your mp .
Bloody hell! The extents of their dishonesty are seriously frightening!!egoneo wrote:second this. Even when my mp contacted them they talk BS. From what I have read, it's seems you are well underway to receiving the good news you have been anticipating. I believe it takes roughly about 3 weeks (in my opinion and mostly read experiences) once your case has been handed down to a case worker for normal checks and decisions. I can see a train load of testimonies coming. Churches will be filled on last Sunday of this month with testimonial queues lol!sanny26 wrote:Yeah I agree they tell the mp same thing they told us. About 10 minsa after email ombudsman got back to me and states he spoke to someone from homeoffice on my behalf and the person states they gona raise my concern with the relevant team and get back to the ombudsman. This morning I was in 2 minds again about contacting again about contacting the ombudsmans because I don't wana come across to them as annoying lol (postman came no letter) I put on £5 on my mobile to call ukba to request back the british passport of my 2 kids,I rang and after 10 mins my credit finishes I didn't end up speaking to anyone I thought to myself probably GOD showing me a sign to just leave the passports where they are. I email ombudsman after that to ask if he heard anyting from ukba because they states they gona get back to him, after 30 mins of waiting for a reply from ombudsman this is they reply from ukba hope it helps, I know its long lol
I am sorry that miss D felt that our service did not meet her expectations on this occasions. Please note that two previous response have been sent to miss d regarding the progress of her application on the 25 april 2013 and 04 june 2013. However as requested I have reviewed miss d concerns thoroughly and would like to apologise for the delay in considering her application for leave to remain(LTR)
Miss d application was submitted on 5th october 2012 temporary migration casework teams have seen larger than anticipated volumes of applications including (FLR O) applications, and have been deploying additional staff resources on an ongoing migration back within service standards as soon as possible.
As part of our continued efforts to improve customer service we have seperated family applications into four distinct work streams
A) spouse/partner cases
B) non-pbs work routes, such as domestic worker
C) visitors
D) human rights and outside rules claims
This allows us to deal with cases with increased efficiency and offer a more tailored customer service for each work stream.
For category A-C we are already at normal operation levels and will be working witgin service standards in the next couple weeks. For human rights claims we are working towards a 12 week service standard and we aim to be at normal operational levels by summer.
I note that miss d provided her biometric on 1st march 2013. I can confirm that her application as been allocated a caseworker for urgent consideration and we will write to miss d shortly.
If miss d submitted her application prior to the expiry of her previous LTR then the conditions attached to her previous leave will continue to apply until a decision is reach on her outstanding case.
If miss d has any evidence that she needs to travel urgently due to serious family or employment reasons or wishes to withdraw her application she can contact our croydon centre.
Hope this info helps and we will be granted soon. In GOD we put our trust.

Application type- FLR(O) extension previously granted Discretionary leave to remain back in oct 2009
I first applied for my extension back in september 10 2012, within a week I received acknowledgement letter but no payment was taken, I thought that was weird because normally they take payment before u receive acknowledgement letter, at that time I was using a solicitor so I thought let me rang her and told her its been 2 weeks since my application and payment hasn't been taken from my account she states I should wait, but something in my mind told me not to. My leave was about to expire on the 11 october 2012. On the 1st october 2012 I rang ukba and states that I want to request return of documents, the lady instantly told me that my application is invalid because of payment issue, I ask her to return them to me she told me that it took 20 working days for it to return I was worried because my leave expire on the 11th october 2012 so I went on a 3 day fasting and I prayed on the 4th october 2012 I was on my way to church for a prayer service when my solicitor rang and states my document as arrived I picked it up the same day and on the 5th october I fill out the form myself and send it off, so I'm hoping for a breakthrough this week with GOD by my side. Reason why I didn't used back the solicitor is because with the invalid application I used legal aid but for the second application she states I couldn't used legal aid again, which in my eyes she got paid from legal aid but she didn't really do any work for me because application came back invalid, and she wants to charge me and at the time I didn't have the money, but I did have a copy of the first application she filled out so I copy everything she wrote on the first application on to the fresh application and send it off by myself
Date application sent- 5th october 2012
Date received bt ukba- 8th october 2012
Date payment taken -23rd october 2012
Method of payment- Debit card
Date of acknowledgement- 26th october 2012(dated 23rd october 2012)
Date received biometric enrolment letter- 25th february 2013(dated 21st february 2013)
Date of biometric enrolment - 1st march 2013
Date received documents - hoping to receive it this week or before this month to finish.lol
This sounds really good for you.......God is faithful and am sure something is coming soonsanny26 wrote:Yeah I agree they tell the mp same thing they told us. Totally agree with you @babycakes support is very vital otherwise we'd be lost. Obviously even @shairee_mashriq needs opinion from the forum. The HO is a complicated agency and we need to be properly informed to deal with them.babycakes wrote:I have to disagree, sharing timeline won't provide much support and will throw up further questions. This forum is gone bit messy... We need to focus the common things among all of us...end of the day discretionary leave and each individual circumstances are different. Therefore discussing them will lead this forum no where....
So keeping focused.................
Application : DL Extension of discretionary leave as the previous leave was granted on refusal of asylum.
Previous Leave : 3 years.
Previous Leave expiring: mid Feb 2013.
Application made on 19th Jan 2013
Acknowledgement Letter : 12th Feb 2013
Biometric Invitation ..... Waiting....
BRP Card.....................Waiting
My application is being dealt in my local active review team, I was wondering its nearly 6 months since I made my application and I have not even received Biometric invitation letter.
Can I do something to chase them, the guide says my application will be dealt as soon as possible... But I don't know what is as soon as possible in UKBA definition.
Anybody with DL applications Discretionary Leave please write your time line.[/size]

Welcome on board! Good luck!summer2013 wrote:Hello Everyone!
In fact I just opened an account today but I have been viewing the forum for quite a while. the reason why I didn't sing up before was that I thought my case is different since people here who have made an application had either settled partners or British children. now I can see that some are in the same situation as me.
My timeline:
FLR0 application made 17th August 2012
(based on human rights private family life on 7 yrs child rule)
biometrics done 14th Februare 2013
since then waaaaatiiiiing
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF AS!!
I do pray for you seriously that you get a decision this month. Sometimes when I think that I've been waiting over 9 months and see someone like you who has been waiting for over 15 months I get more puzzled.ale001 wrote:It's now ONE YEAR AND 3 MONTHS i've been waiting for a decision on my application.

I've sent more than 10 letters, emails, to HO.
The last email i got from them was they will update me in 20 days, till now i never hear from them.
Very sad sad sad sad sad...

God must answer me this month of July 2013, and so for others too.
