who should sign and stamp payslips?

Post by argus7 » Thu May 17, 2012 2:36 pm

The policy guidance mentions that employer should sign and stamp payslips, Does it have to be payroll/HR or even a senior manager in the company. Ideally Payroll correct?

Any experiences with online payslips, I know that it is accepted as my initial application , I used online payslips which was signed by Finance/Payroll

Thanks,

Payroll (or HR) would be more appropriate. There are a few success stories with online payslips I have read one maybe a few weeks back. Try doing a search using keyword 'online payslips' and I am sure you will find that thread

In my openion, It does not matter who signs the payslips; it can be any manager in company even a QA Manager should be ok. Guidence notes says it should be sign & stamp by employer and there is no mention of HR, Payroll or which Manager.

Obviously stamp will be the same in either case.
My replies are just personel suggestions and not substitute of a professional advice

Nobody sign my payslip. Its formal payslip . lot of company have similar.

I have limited company taking only dividend . Doing job another company get monthly salary in the bank account.

What the payslips must show

These should be either formal payslips or on company headed paper. If payslips are on unheaded paper or you receive all pay slips online, you must authenticate the evidence by asking the employer to sign and stamp a printout.

If you send payslips, they must cover the whole period claimed (for example, if payslips are produced monthly, you must provide the payslip for each month of the period claimed).
