Tier 2 General Dependent Documentation

Post by sailaja.jv » Sun May 20, 2012 10:43 pm

Hi All,

I am on tier 2 ICT and want to convert to a tier 2 general dependent (my husband is on tier 2 general). I have few doubts w.r.t the documentation required for applying for Tier 2 General Dependent.

1) Is it possible to continue with the same employer on dependent visa?
2) Also, do I need to furnish any documentation from the employer for the dependent visa?
3) Do I need to furnish any details about the accommodation that I would be staying here in UK?

Can anyone throw some light on this?

Thanks in advance,
Sailaja.

1. Yes. Inform your employer of the change in status as and when it is done.

Read the policy guidance.

1. Yes it is possible if your employer is happy to wait for you untill you came back to UK with your new visa. You wll get right to work full time as Tier-2 dependant. There is no restriction as where you to work.
2. You just need full fill application for Tier-2 dependant visa. Documents from your employer has little or no value at all for depenant visa application. You need --
Maintenance fund ( 430 pounds for 3 consecutive months)/ Maintenance certificate from your husband employer
Valid marriage certificate and NIKAH NAMA
Evidence of substantial relation ( Optional but important)
Photocopies of your husband passport and Biometric card
3. Accomodation arrangement is not required according to policy guidance. People get visa without tenancy aggrement.
