As I said earlier, I have applied for ILR in the last August 2016 and did not get any correspondences from Home Office but last week I have received a letter from them and its stated that
"Your application will not processed within 6 month target. This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision. We expect to make decision on your application by 4th May, but we still write you again if this is not going to be possible."
is anyone in this forum received any correspondence from the Home Office like this or any other format ?
Thanks
What visa did he have?sman wrote:Hi all,
My husband did apply for ILR on Oct 2015 as his 5 year visa was about to expire on Nov 2015. He got a letter on April 2016 from HO that it needs to be processed beyond 6 months time. Since then, there is no word from them and is more than 16 months since he applied for it. We have no clue as what's happening on his case, and couldn't settle in life due to that
Does anyone have any idea on this? Is there any way to expedite their process?
Thanks for your reply MuriNath,MuriNath wrote:Hi Mayu2016,

I think you said that you have been waiting for a year without any update from them. Six month is their standard time and if you haven't received anything within six months, you can call them and ask what is going on.
For me, they have sent me a letter before six months completed, which said they need 3 more months to make a decision.
Good luck

Thanks and sorry for late post, yes I'm Srilankan too and few of my friends also waiting about a year after they made the application through the SET P route.
I don't know why is taking too long for this processes but there is some news/rumours around, about this issues in some web media. I'm so fed up but what to do, still we have to wait.
Thank you CR001, will be careful here after.CR001 wrote:Your last two posts have been removed. Kindly refrain from posting such posts without first checking with moderators if it complies with the forum T&Cs etc.Mayu2016 wrote:Thanks for your reply MuriNath,MuriNath wrote:Hi Mayu2016,
