It is starts from the date of decision.Kinan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:05 amHi all,
I sent my SET (Protection) route application in 9th August, and received an acknowledgement letter 1 week later....
However I need to ask the people who got there indefinite leave about the indefinite starting date, will it start from the last date of your 5 years or it will start from the date of decision.
Anyone can help with that
Thanks in Advance
Thanks
Oh that is disappointingCR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:08 amIt is starts from the date of decision.Kinan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:05 amHi all,

Then I when I need to apply for citizenship I need 12 month IRL at least and then that will start from decision date not from last stay expairy date, am I right?CR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:21 amWhy is it disappointing??Kinan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:13 amOh that is disappointingCR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:08 amIt is starts from the date of decision.Kinan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:05 amHi all,

Correct yes (unless you are married to a British citizen, then you don't have to wait 12 months).
hellow.
It doesn't work like that.
Hello kinanKinan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 12:00 pmHi
In my case my 5 years stay expire on 31/08/2017 then roughly 6 month waiting time for the indefinite plus I need to spend 12 month ILR so to reach the stage where I can apply for Citizenship I need to wait 18 month
So basically if I got positive decision within 6 month that waiting time is legal but will not be covered in anywhere document
So I’m not disappointed because the HO take their time and study applications but the case if they accept my ILR application so my ILR should start from the last stay end ideally it should start 01/09/2017
It doesn’t work like that but that what it should be, when anyone got positive decision and he didn’t break any of his visa date or overstayed his visa the date should be carried on…CR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 12:09 pmIt doesn't work like that.
You only have ILR status when the application is decided. This is NOT the same as HO 'accepting' your ILR application, which is 'received' not 'accepted' in the definition of 'accepted'. HO receiving it, requesting biometrics, taking the fee is all STANDARD procedures before they can process and work on your application. This applies to ALL routes applying for ILR.
Even if HO 'accepts' (receives) your applications, it can still be refused.
Then suggest find a country that does work like but it doesn't in the UK. Complaining about it is not going to make an ounce of difference either.Kinan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 12:53 pmIt doesn’t work like that but that what it should be, when anyone got positive decision and he didn’t break any of his visa date or overstayed his visa the date should be carried on…CR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 12:09 pmIt doesn't work like that.

The decision should consider the date and regarded the waiting time in ILR of course only for who got positive decision
I’m afraid to tell you dear you are wrong a complain could change anything if you are right, we are in the UK not Bongo Bongo LandCR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 12:57 pmThen suggest find a country that does work like but it doesn't in the UK. I am not your 'dear' so please refrain from referring to me a such. Complaining about something such as this (ILR valid date) will make no difference at all and you are wrong. Date of ILR grant is the date of decision. ILR is not an entitlement or a right either.
