Want to share my good news with everyone. Applied 7/11/2017 don’t biomatrocs 19/11/2017 and got biometric cards for both myself and my son today dated 15/03/2018. So it took 4 months and one week to be precise. I’m the same person who had not only acquired my country of origin’s passport but had travelled on it twice too. Alhamdullilah it all went so smooth and no hiccups as I had expected. Good luck to everyone who is waiting
Congratulations you two. It’s quick. I applied with my little daughter two months ago. And keep waiting now. Could you let me know what does they write on the the card? You and your son is exactly the same or not? And how long for it? Because I heard some one only have 6 years on the card. It normally 10 years for settlement. Thanks mate.
I didn’t receive the paper work yet just the ILR cards which is bit surprising as usually people receive their paper work first. On my card it says refugee settlement and it is for 6 years but that’s normal and I don’t think it’s something to worry as after a year we will be opting for naturalisation anyway, on my child’s card it doesn’t say anything just ILR

Hello just found out about this forum. I submitted my application on the 7th of November after completing 5 years along with my dependant who is my child. The only thing keeping me worried is that I had renewed my country of origins passport after a stupid case worker told me that it’s ok and as long as I don’t travel to my country of origin it’s fine. So I got it renewed and travelled to Dubai couple of times for a few days and as soon as I found out that I was not supposed to travel on my country of origins passport, I surrendered that to Home office and applied for a travel document, which I was given. Now it has been 2 and a half months since I submitted my application for ILR along with my son but I have been very anxious as to what would be the outcome of my application. I have been working, driving paying all my taxes and a law abiding citizen but still don’t know what my future would be. Plz help if anyone have anything relevant to share.
by getting your country passport you availed yourself to you country's protection and this is bad news!
1-can you prove that you have been given a wrong advice by ur case worker? i.e., emails, letters etc
2-can you prove that you have NOT been to your country of origin on your passport? i.e., do you have a tourist visa to UAE endorsed on your country of origin passport? if you have not this will indicate that you may have only used dubai as transit passanger
3-could you explain, not for us obviously, how you re-entered through UK borders on your way back from dubai? did you only have your refugee Residency card and was it ok to produce that with your country of origin passport? this is a very interesting case!
Hey I got it today 💪🏻💪🏻

That is what I thought, too. I just wonder if we want to go on holiday some time, can we reapply the travel document again as the remark says “refugee settlement” and do you know who done it successfully before? Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone
I have a refugee visa and I am about to apply for indefinite leave in a few weeks time.I know the form is a bit easy to fill in yourself but I was just wondering if there is anything that I need to attach to with this form. Any advice on what You have included with your application such as do I need to just send the form with the pictures, travel documents and nothing else.

Please advise on how some of you guys did when doing your application

Thank you

The form likely tells you what you need to send. Also, take the time and read through this entire topic first and see what other members have posted.

Greetings,

As the saying goes, 'i have been a silent observer' since early November last year prior to making, and during, my application. I received my BRP letter today and the timeline was as follows:

Expiry: 14/12/2017
Application: 17/11/2017
Biometric Registration: 23/11/2017
Application Confirmation Letter: 29/11/2017
Monthly Application Status Emails: 30/11/2017, 29/12/2017, 29/01/2018, none received in February
Approval Letter: 23/03/2018
BRP: 27/03/2018
Lead Time: Approx. 4 months and 1 week.

I would like to take a moment to thank all the individuals who dedicate their time and effort to keep this thread alive, and everyone who shares their ideas. These ideas, they may seem trivial to the individual contributing them, but believe me when i say they are life changing.

Good luck to everyone.

Salute.
