Great forum wishing all the best luck for everyone waiting.

Posting on behalf of someone I know:

Main Applicant + Wife (Dependent)
Submitted 14th Nov 17
BRP Letter received 30th Nov Dated 27th Nov
Biometrics submitted 2nd Dec 2017
Emails received 26th Dec, Jan, Feb
Awarded letter received 26th March dated 20th March
Missed Postman delivery 27th March redelivering what is hoped to be the BRP's

Strange thing, they returned the expired CTD's .. Reading here, reapplying for a CTD is a possibility until nationalization / UKPP
National Passport is still with them and is still valid, I wonder if travel on it is allowed now the ILR has been issued?

I just called the HO and they said that the national passport from which the applicant has been sought asylum from will not be returned until the applicant has become british and for any needed travel , a CTD can be obtained / renewed.

so after reading this thread for the past 3 months, i feel i have to share my good new which came very unexpected a few minutes ago. I have been following this thread for about 2 months and from reading i can probably tell my application is one of the fastest ones, i thought i would get my BRP maybe next month so my time is here

application done: 05/01/2018 (my permit was expiring on the 18/01/2018)

Biometric done: i think on the 12/01/2018 (i dont remember)

Email update from Home Office: received 2 in total : 07/02/2018 and 07/03/2018

BRP Received: 6/04/2018 (dated issued 04/04/2018)

its an individual application and i am from Zimbabwe so @Tash682, i know you applied in december, be patient its coming soon. i did not receive any letter, just today some guy knock my door and said we need ID to sign for the letter. that is all i got to share, thanks to everyone who took their time to share on here, and for those waiting , i know its frustrating and you feel like you are being kept lock down, keep the faith. and God bless you all!

Hi everyone

Can someone please give me some hope,

I got a "Something for you" card today from Royal Mail, not sure what it is but it says it needs my signature, I was wondering if it is possible that I get something from HO now? I submitted my application 3rd January 2018

Does the approval letter need signature?
What if it is a rejection letter? How would that be? Does it need signature?

Thanks
Feri

If you dont have any purchases I think it’s from HO. If so, it would be a good new. Because with my experience, if you don’t have any criminal or serious problems you will have approval. Best of luck and don’t forget to share your good new. I applied on 10th January, just 5 days after you.

OMG I can't believe it, it was my approval letter. They also returned my old Travel Document and supporting docs. I cant believe it that they actually processed the application in 3 months time.

Here is the timeline

Posted the application : 02/01/2018
HO Received: 03/01/2018
Got Acknowledgement email: 11/01/2018
Received Biometric letter: 13/01/2018
Biometric enrolment: 15/01/2018
Approval Letter Received: 09/042018

I just can't thank you guys enough, this forum is so precious. Thanks for the support.
