Hello,SomethingoOrOther wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 3:59 pmHey guys, long time lurker here. Finally decided to get an account because I'm so anxious.
Sent my application 05 July
Appointment 09 July
I tried looking in this board and I'm really worried because I haven't my sent Travel Document and BRP off, but it was scanned at the appointment so I thought that was enough but I'm having second thoughts. Page 157 people say no need but around mid-July pages say you do? Also, I sent my consent form really late, 03 August- I couldn't find it for ages and it wasn't on the checklist so I was confused. I applied alone without an immigration adviser which I realize now was kind of stupid urgh. The UKVCAS site is soooo uphelpful I can barely access any info.
Can anyone assure/advise me? They have my contact details so I wish they would contact me but seems like they'd hate nothing more. Can't believe they stopped doing the monthly updates literally the month I applied, I'm literally so anxious about it all .
Good luck. My answers above.samapply wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2019 10:10 pmHi all
couple of questions regarding my application
- Should I declare my expiry speeding ticket, I received 3points but now I have a clean driving licence?
No. Good character is not part of SET(P) requirements, contrary to naturalisation applications
- Should tell them I got a parking ticket but I paid them on-time no court at all?
Neither, same reason.
- I know you should apply one month before your Biometric expiry so I applied for my ILR Set(p) and submitted form on 30/09/2019 but my Biometric will expiry on 10/11/2019. Would this be a problem?
Unlikely. Some posters applied even 2-3 months early and still got their ILR.
- if applying early would be problem can I re-apply?
You can only re-apply before your current leave expires. I assume though you will not have an answer on the original application by then, anyway. If I were you I'd stay put
- After I applied I had to book appointment for "Attend an appointment to provide your documents and biometrics " BUT when I was checking appointments almost full and VIP cost range £150-250 ? WTF company called "sopra steria.
You can do biometrics at post office. However, they cannot scan supporting documents and you would have to send them to HO by post. Sopra steria offers free, £60 and £100 appointments too, though the availability of free appointments is limited or waiting time long.

I think you should apply via post office.Sopra is just making money from people.Good character test is relevant in all applications but threshold is not as high as in nationality cases where HO tries every bit to find something to refuse BC.You will get ILR easily around 3 months.
oh no,
Yes, of course. will update...samapply wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 7:44 pmoh no,
finger cross.
I think because they are short of staff and no budget. and they use available resources for other applications which paid good money compare to us pay nothing .
I wish we had option of fast track
But what else can we do other than wait?
let's keep each other update,
Still waiting... As per HO's acknowledgement email, it will be six months on 02 November. So, 11 working days left. Waiting anxiously now (to be honest)max7 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 4:37 pmHi guys,
