Cover letter is not necessary....just keep it simple, nothing more and nothing less. I was in the same situation as u with that 2 questions...answer honestly...
Just mention their name relation to you and how do you stay in contact with them...

And for the second question I answered I was never a part of any groups since I never had the opportunity...except for some online social groups.

Hope this helps...

If you don't mind me. Asking...which country r u from and when is ur leave expiring??

Hi Jesse8
Thanks for your reply :)
Im Iranian and my leave is expiring in May but Im stressing out from now :|
Not sure if I can be cheeky and apply a bit earlier or not

I am also Iranian ,

Don't worry I applied a bit early maybe a week, my journey took about two months I thought they would reject my application .
Aww nice :))
2 months is quick, comparing to a lot of other applicants here.
Did you have solicitor or you complete the application yourself?

thanks
I completed by myself, I don't think you need a solicitor .

Hey
Don't worry. Maybe the xmas and new year holiday has affected that.
Did you do the online application ?
Do you mind if I ask which country you are from?

Guys, there is this thing which has been bothering me.for the past few days....

So after getting my refugee status I managed to finish my engineering degree and worked as an IT developer for around year and half and quit about 2 months back since I started working on a start up project( initial phase)....not making any money out of it yet.

So my question is.... technically I m unemployed at the moment, would that create an issue or they would give merits based on my job history and stuff...if this is going to create problems I should start looking for job ASAP.....

And yea the HR and recruitment people of these tech companies are not aware of this type of visa either...so it's not going to easy getting a professional job at this stage either....

Your opinion will greatly help me guys.

Refugee ILR has nothing to do with employment or unemployment. Some people try to be smart &submit pay slips ,employer letters&stuff which is irrelevant &putting extra burden on caseworkers which can ultimately annoy them& trigger a delay in application. It is a simple application where no need of COO information to be sent nor any letters of support or bla bla.Should just ask HO to continue protection as you are still a refugee. The rest HO already knows when asylum applied.

Hi guys,
I had applied for my ILR - SET (P) in beginning of May 2019 and I'm still waiting for ILR.

Applied for ILR Route : SET(P)
Date application sent : 02-05-2019
Document received by HO : Online
Ack letter received (if applicable) : Email received on 03-05-2019
Biometric Letter received : Email received on 05-05-2019
Date Biometrics Enrolled : 23-05-2019
Payment Debited : NA
Approval/Refusal Received : Still waiting
BRP Card Received : Still waiting
Today 6 months have been completed, no update received yet. I've contacted HO over the phone, the person at call centre said there is no service standard for SET (P) applications however I should have received within SIX months. They've asked me to write a letter to UKVI asking for update. So.......... I'm going to write a letter now.
Update:
I was just about to write a letter today but received letter from HO, saying they aim to process all applications within 6 months but my application has caused some complexity and that they'll process it within 3 more months. (new date given 01 Feb 2020)
So... God willing I shall now wait another 3 months.
Alright, so it's 30th January 2020 and still waiting... As per HO letter I should receive something before 1st Feb. So let's see what tomorrow brings. I highly doubt that I'll get my ILR tomorrow but they might send out another letter saying they need another 3 months
Can't believe it's been 9 months and I'm still in the limbo :x

Hi I would to share my hard experience
I do online application on 6th of July 2019
Sopra esteria for digital on 6 august 2019
Since then nothing 🤯 wich is horrible
Nearly 6 month of pain
And my advice is during the application if you can afford priority service is better as you could lose more which is my case .

Oh no, hope you hear from them soon 🤞🏼

I also have some questions guys

I need to apply soon for the ILR but I will move the house 1 month after my application.
Not sure if I should put my current address or the new one down?!
Or Is there any option to notify them of the change of address ?
Do they send you any letter after application ??
Thanks
Sara

You can report change of address online using the link below. It’s an online form

https://visa-address-update.service.gov ... 1580762149

They will notify you by email once they’ve updated it in their system.

After six months of waiting recieved a letter from Home Office that decision hasn't been made yet due some biometric issues so I need to get it done again, in the letter mentioned that I might wait another 3 month or even more.
