Do you mean 5 months between online application and decision or between biometrics appointment and decision?

Hi Karim,
I meant 5 months between the online application and the decision. I have applied on the 11th March 2020. Tomorrow evening I will post my full timeline after collecting my documents from my solicitor.

Thanks London22 for reply to my query,
I think I will also get a legal advice on this. I will keep you guys updated.
Hi guys,

I have submitted my application and the available dates for biometric appointments are after my current leave expires, it's that alright to book one anyway?
Also is the application start to be processed after the biometrics have been submitted?

Thanks in advance to anyone who will take her/his time to respond to my query.
At the end of the application it actually tells you until when you have to give in your biometric and upload documents...mine was 2 months after I submitted...
Hi guys,

I have applied through a solicitor and today I received a copy of my application form filled and found error about the date I have entered the UK. I called the solicitor, he said he will fix it. I am now a bit concern on how this may affect my application. Any advice please?
Hi everyone,

Here is my timeline:

RLR Expiry Date 23-03-2020
ILR Applied on 11-03-2020
Biometrics done 16-06-2020 (Delays due to the pandemic)
ILR Approval received by Email: 17-08-2020
BRP received (solicitor). 24-08-20

Good luck everyone, I hope you will get yours soon.

He explained about new system is quick and fast
I think it’s depends on cases as well
I’m waiting for new update I recently submitted my case on 18-7-2020 and got appointment paid on 13-8-2020.
My visa expires date was 02-8-2020
My one friend got ilr in 2 days after appointment but that was ilr spouse category
So be patience and wait....

Hi
I just kindly expect the advice from forum members.
Any one has experience ??
I am waiting for my SET P application decision nearly 6 months and 3 weeks and I did not get any update still.
I have got issue that I am looking for rental property for my family but property agency expects my present status document to get through the rental check.so I am really struggling to rent a property.
Pls advice me!!!
I am thinking to meet local MP and explain this situation or other hand write letter to home office with the explanation.
I am bit confusing which the best way step to take at this present to get update from home office.
Thanks

Hi Rajux,
I imagine how hard it can be, as you are already having stress over a long waiting for your decision and also issues with renting a property.
Normally the agency or landlords can check your right to rent via this link: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outrea ... ation.ofml , as if you have applied within 28 days before your 5 years refugee leave expired and now are awaiting for a decision, I think all your rights including right to rent still in place. And likely unlawful if they refuse to let you a property just because they think you have no right to rent without checking with the HO, as your application is under consideration and you are holding an expired BRP.
You can contact your local MP as you have mentioned, and you can also get in touch with your local council to explain the situation if you are threaten by homelessness.
I hope you will hear from HO very soon. Stay positive.

Dear all,

Hope you are all well and coping ok with the waiting for positive decisions on application.

I just wanted to check whether anyone who recently applied has been issued with the ILR, although the guidelines suggest the waiting period of a six months.

I also wanted to check that Sopra Steria people mentioned that I will receive an email from the Home Office confirming that they have received all my documents and information around timelines. However, I have still not received any such email, anyone else facing similar problem?

All the best everyone!

Hi there, I have applied and been to the appointment as well. At the time of biometric, I asked whether they had any idea of timescales or give me an indication of how long will the application take. They (Sopra Steria) staff mentioned that Home Office will send an email confirming that they have received all of the paperwork and biometrics and that email will also contain the information around how long will the application take.
I hope this clarified.

Sopra steria is only a third party agent for biomteric enrollment and identity check. They have give generic, not always correct, advice and information.

Set P can take very long.

All the best everyone!
Did you apply online and waiting appointment or did you go to your appointment already, pls clarify?
Hi there, I have applied and been to the appointment as well. At the time of biometric, I asked whether they had any idea of timescales or give me an indication of how long will the application take. They (Sopra Steria) staff mentioned that Home Office will send an email confirming that they have received all of the paperwork and biometrics and that email will also contain the information around how long will the application take.
I hope this clarified.
No I didn't get an email from UKVI following my appointment with Sopra Steria. I only received a text message from Sopra Steria following the appointment confirm the submission of my documents to UKVI for processing.
