Hi There ,
It's about my wife's application for ILR .
Home office email recieved : 21-10-2020 , says application approved BRP on its way through a courier .
A week earlier we moved to new address , however we can still access the old address but no sign of missing calling card
spoke to home office they said Courier company will email us but no email received as of yet .
Does anyone know which courier company deliver the BRP .
DX used to deliver but they replied not doing deliveries of BRP .
Please advise .
Hi Mate
If you received BRP courier email ... when you can find tracking number(FedEx consignment number) and the link tell you how you find the delivery status.
Now only TNT courier deliver BRP.
So have a look you email and find your item you normally receive 2 days after the email.
Thanks

Hi I am still waiting for update. No response from HO I wrote my application date wrong I realised later. I submitted my application on 5-04-20 my visa was expiring on 5-5-20, biometrics done on 21-7-20, some people say that six months start after submitting biometrics while one person from HO said for set P there is no time frame. Don’t know when this period is gonna end. I have three dependants on my application. I didn’t write letter to HO but in two months time need to move home too. I really don’t know what should I do!

Hi Everyone
As some of you guys know that I have pending application for ILR SET (P) more than 6 months. Today Home Office emailed my solicitor and requested for Authority letter, my solicitor sent me a Authority letter I signed and returned it back.
Now my question is, Did my solicitor forget to upload the Authority letter at beginning?
Has anybody applied through solicitor can confirm me whether the solicitor has to upload the Authority letter or not?
Thanks

Hi all,
Do we know what impact this new lockdown is going to have on the following;
- Applications that are already in the process
- Applications, which will be submitted after Thursday 5th November
I have a feeling that there will be an impact on the new applications, however, I really hope that the Home Office will speed up processing the existing application to allow them to have some additional capacity when dealing with the new applications!
Please share your thoughts!
Many thanks,

Hi All,
I got an email from the HO today, really pleased to have received the email. I was getting really anxious that this second lockdown will bring further delays to the processing of applications;
Here's my timeline
Visa Expired:14/08/2020
Applied online:04/08/2020
Biometric: 07/09/2020 (in person)
Email received:02/11/2020 from 'Home Office Atlas'
BRP received: waiting
Total duration;
Days from application submission: 90 (roughly 13 weeks)
Days from biometric submission: 56 (8 weeks)
I submitted the following documents;
1. Cover letter explaining my life in the UK
2. Child's birth certificate, his British passport and custody arrangement letter (his British mother and I have separated)
3. Mortgage statement (not needed but to prove life in the UK)
4. Letter from employer including salary slip (not needed but to prove life in the UK)
5. Bank statement (as above)
Thank you all for your support and guidance, please stay in touch and do let me know if I can be of any assistance to any of you.
With warm regards,

Thank you, Danish; not sure if it's faster decision due to the evidence provided. However, I am happy for you the outcome.
This group definitely helps a lot when waiting for the outcome. I also pray and hope for others to get an update on their application and wish for a positive outcome for all.

Hi Danish,
You are right that you cannot travel on BRP to Europe or Turkey and you will need the convention travel document. Please carry your BRP along with the Travel Document when travelling.
Also, I believe that you cannot apply for your home country passport where you sought the refuge from. If you apply for the passport from your home country; you will be at the risk of losing your refugee status. (Please let me know if I am wrong!)
Kind regards,

Hello
You will get refugee status revoked once applied for passport from your home country holding Refugee ILR.Before 2010 people used to do that as at that time there was no mention of refugee status with settlement. It only used to state settlement ILR.But the Tories have made everything hard.Even Refugee ILR isn't an ILR ,it is just a same status .
Once you get British citizenship then you can apply for it in my views but at own risk even at that time when logically a person isn't refugee anymore then why should they follow refugee rules. This govt revokes citizenships & ILR many times.Something good isn't expected from them .So be careful.

Hi Jesse8,
You applied in January 2020, is that correct? It is now nearly a year! Have you written to them requesting a response? Also, did you send letters using recorded delivery?

Jesse8, I am really sorry to hear that you are facing such delays and especially being left in a limbo!!
Have you contacted any solicitors and discuss the matter with them to see what they advise?

Hi Jesse
You mentioned that your MP wrote twice to them, Did you get any response from the first time you MP wrote to Home Office.
If this delay has affected your life in any way, you should seek legal advice and consider sending them pre action protocol letter, but you need to have a strong case before sending pre action protocol letter.

mp received a response yesterday from home office saying they apologise for the delayed response to her...and they ll send a substantive response soon...
and yea i could not find a job since most of the graduate jobs i apply needs some kind of brp to process... i even applied to be delivery driver with uber and stuart for which i m stuck at the stage of background verification check as i couldnt provide a valid brp.....so yea this has affected me financially...
as with contacting a solicitor... i thought i ll wait until i receive a response from mp...what do you guys think??

I am guessing the solicitor would want to see the details response from HO to the MP and the plan their course of action. Guess, it would be best to wait a week or so and then contact a solicitor?

Yes on 10/1/2020 to be exact....and special delivery each time £6.70....I ve written to them saying i m not able to find employment without the brp....still no response.
I called the ukvi helpline...for which they said there is no set timeframe for setp applications....
So much stress because of this ..
Guess, it would be best to wait a week or so and then contact a solicitor?
ye i m guessing the same....considering this lockdown...its better to wait bit longer....
thanks...

Hi Jesse8,
You applied in January 2020, is that correct? It is now nearly a year! Have you written to them requesting a response? Also, did you send letters using recorded delivery?

Good to hear that, hopefully some progress will be made now.
