no emails ..they do not send an automated monthly email update anymore
when did you do your fingerprints ?
On 23rd of May, I meant a one-time confirmation email after the fingerprints are done?

Thanks,
I did get an automated email from UKVCAS shortly after attending my biometrics to say that it was successfully submitted to the UKVI.
Yes I got that email, nothing from the HO or UKVI then.

Thanks

It appears that most of people now are getting it in around 3 months if everything is alright with their applications. However I’ve heard some cases of people that got it within 1-2 months

My application time scale so far

Refugee leave expire: 18/07/2021
application submitted: 28/05/2021
Biometric booked: 15/06/2021
( cost £280 for 4 applicants; me, my wife and 2 Uk born children)

Now waiting for the outcome. I know it’s too early but really tensed if something negative happened.
Thanks

CuriousCutie

You are welcome ;)

I finally received my "successful" email 2 days ago, 3 months and one week after the biometrics. a friend of mine completed her biometrics 3 weeks earlier and got her email within the same time frame.

So seems like 3 months and one week wait is the approximate waiting time for now.

Wish you all the best everyone :)

2- what documents do i have to submit to support my application
3-when is the earliest I can submit my application (my current leave is expiring 1st nov 2021)
4-I am married to a british citizen and have 3 british kids together will i be asked about them or the application is just about me , do i have to send their documents to support my application?

I appreciate any information specially people who had humantarian protection

Hi,

I am wondering if someone can guide me...

I have refugee leave which is expiring on 20th November 2021 ... I will be submitting SET (P) form online.

i have couple of questions if someone help me out please.

1) what is the earliest date i can submit online application?
2) In terms of documents i only have BRP with me as my passport was held by home office and never returned to me. However i can provide scan copy of old passport. I have never left the country during the last 5 years so never needed or applied for temporary travel document. On filling form it is asking me to provide BRP and old passport scan upload which i will able to do but do i need passport when i attend biometric appointment ( currently with HO) or Original BRP will be sufficient? PS i have full UK driving licence if its any helpful?

Thanks

Hi,

Please find my answers below:
1) I applied exactly 3 months before the expiry date of my BRP, so I think you are good to go now!
For whoever reading though, don't apply if you still have more than 3 months in your BRP. You would be risking losing time and they may ask you to re-apply!

2) I am not 100% sure but you should be able to apply with your Original BRP.

Good luck!

Hello London22

I am in the same position..I received an email from Atlas today "Application Update" saying that I had a passport done although i had refugee status..and that "Were you to travel using your passport, we may consider you to have re-availed yourself of the protection of the authorities from whom you sought protection and your refugee status will be reviewed"

Question: did you get a similarly worded letter ? and did you get that letter before the approval decision was sent to you by Home Office Atlas ?

Many thanks

Hello Everybody

Today ,Im so glad that I have received my Refugee ILR.I wonder how amazing is HO service that within 2 months they awarded me ILR.As most of you are aware that I obtained national passport and disclosed it to Ho and they have warned me not to use national passport for travel & obtain travel documents ,otherwise travel on national passport would jeopardy the refugee status means cancelling.Well obviously Im soon going to apply for travel documents and would return passport to them.
Applied on : 02-02-2019
Confirmation Email: 04-02-2019
Biometrics Done: 15-02-2019
Status Updates Email: 15-03-2019
Residence Permit received:28-03-2019

Congratulations I told you that you will be fine as I was in the same boat :) got mine in 2 months too and was not even aware at all that not to renew it so send it with application with old passport got the same letter as you are saying. After that consulted 3 solicitors to make sure to be fine for naturalisation so far all of them said as long as it's not used you are fine. Will update as due for naturalisation next month. Anyway have a free life ahead.
Regards.

Hello Curious
My wording was same as yours it is copy & paste. If you haven't travelled on your national passport then don't worry you will be fine & even if you have travelled you are more likely fine if explain them all circumstances .Be careful about citizenship where they are making troubles as they know it is more important than ILR.

1- Yes - Set (p) is for both asylum and HP applications
2- once you filled out the application, it will give the list of documents you need to upload (may be different for each case) - usually proof of ID (BRP-travel document) - if you have problems (court, driving points etc) you need to declare them. if dependents are applying with you, need to include proof of relationship and finally fill out the consent form.
3- HO recommends in the finaly 28 days of your current leave. However many people are applying 2-3 months before expiry. Usually anything above 3m would be refused and you'll have to re-apply again
4- Yes, you should explain why they are not applying with you - spouse & kids are already british.

You should submit and apply no sooner than 30 days before your visa expiry date. The date of application is the date yo submit and pay.

Hi

I am trying to fill SET P application online and i come accross this question

For either the UK or any other country, have you ever been:
Refused a visa
Refused entry at the border
Refused permission to stay or remain
Refused asylum
Deported
Removed
Required to leave
Excluded or banned from entry

So when I first claimed assylum , it was refused and was given right to appeal and after the appeal it was granted.

Shall i choose any of the options above or choose no

Thank you

Hello

I have applied set p for a friend of mine as a favour since i previously had mine approved last year.

However, when i was filling out the online form, i realised they have changed it by introducing UkVI app where you confirm your identity by scanning brp and all that.

However, upon completion of the application, they never emailed him to give his fingerprints and neither did they asked for any sort of supporting documents.

Application submission email was received though.

Just wondering if this is normal as when i filled out my application last year for set p , i was asked to book my biometric appointment plus provide the supporting documents. They didnt asked my friend to provide any of that.

Just double checking if they have changed the procedure?

Any feedback would be appreciated!!
