I had mental breakdowns during lockdown and my therapist ordered wellness checks on me. I think that might be causing delay for me

That's nothing to do with your visa application, it seems is your bad luck your case has been passed to someone who doesn't care and want to issue your visa in the last minute we have lots of these people running around this country unfortunately,I remember when I applied for my travel document timeline was 6 months the guy approved my application after 5 months and 25 days , when they gave you 5 years refugee they have to give to your your ilr they just want to cause us more stress I came here in 2003 19 years later I just submitted my application for ILR , some other guys today jumping out the lorry 5 years later they are British citizen , be patient my friend it will be alright

Hi Everyone,

I have a family member who is refugee and he will be applying for ILR. It seems that he will be using the ID check app, I have three questions please
1- can't he use the normal way rather than the app.
2- if he has to use the app, how he will be uploading the document and biometrics?
3- is there a difference between the app and the normal way.

Thank you for your help

Hi,
If he is single person like me he has to use the app if he has family other way is to attend the biometric in person I did used the app and my application was granted in 41 days he needs to fill out the application online he will get to the part asking for confirming his identity online then he needs to download the idv app and enter the code number which he will receive it via the text or an email from the homeoffice when he logged in to the app it takes less then 3 minutes to confirm his identity he needs to scan his current brp scan his face with his phone camera and take a picture with his phone then click submit when that's done he can continue with his application all together from starting the application from the scratch and using the app and submission it will take less then 30 minutes
Best of luck

Thank you very much for your help. One last question please, did you upload a copy of your passport (all pages) of this is not a required thing. Also what kind of proof you have used as 'Evidence of xxx immigration status in the UK'. Finally did you need to upload your travel document as well.

Many thanks for your help and support

Can I ask please, when you upload the documents, do you need to scan all the pages of the passport and the travel document or only the personal information page?

Hi Hooman, thanks for your information, May I ask how long before your visa expired, did you apply?
Mine will Be expire on 13 November and I have refuge one.
I have depended as well, both we are working , probably work will ask about visa but also my tenancy agreement will finish about month later and they will ask about my Visa, I’d like to apply it as soon as I can

Hello my friend , you are welcome , you can submit your application 30 days before your current leave expire , don't worry about the work and your tenancy agreement when you submit your application to them you will receive an email from the homeoffice saying you have pending application with us if work and landlord ask for your visa you can show them the email on the government website says if you have pending application with the homeoffice you have right to work and rent until they make the decision , but bear in mind when you receive your new BRP check it probably they have misspelled my surname on it I did reported to them online and got my M.P involve she wrote to them last week , on Friday I posted explanation letter including photocopy evidence with my correct name utility bill, driving licence, previous BRP,grant of refugee ETC, to them and I got my solicitor emailed them as well now I am sitting and waiting for their reply this is second time they have made the same error, in middle of my surname it is H they input M for the second time they derived me crazy to be honest

Hi Hooman,

Many thanks for your help. So can I ask how did you upload the document, I have used the app to confirm my identity. When I finished the application, it says that I don't need to upload any documents is that normal? Have you upload other documents and how

If you've used the app for the selfie and photo of the ID and then complete the application online, you may get an email saying that you need to upload additional documents by a certain date in order for your application to be submitted. However, you may not need to supply additional documents - if that's the case your application gets submitted straight away; you would've received an email a minute or two after the first one saying the application was submitted for consideration.

Hi my friend,
Unfortunately I don't have screenshot of it as my application has been already decided I can't login to it anymore,

On the page when your application is submitted you should have list of for example identity front of it it should say completed if you scroll down to very end of the page it does showing in green box further information or further submission click on that and you will see a page it says submit further information like bank statements, etc
