Applied: 07 Feb 2022 via the app (28 days before BRP expired)
Biometrics Appointment : Applied via the App, so none.
Complex Email: None
Approval/Refusal Received : Awaiting
BRP Card Received : Awaiting

Currently been waiting for more than the 6-month SLA. It's not a complex application (no criminal records etc.)

Tried calling UKVI, but there's an automated message saying they're sorry for not meeting service level agreement and that the application is still being processed and there's no further actions to take today. 🤷‍♂️

Guess they're all on holiday

Applied: 09/12/2022
Biometrics Appointment : Via App
Complex Email: None
Approval/Refusal Received : Awaiting
BRP Card Received : Awaiting

I haven't received any letters or emails from them at all. It's stressing me out now, employer needs a proof of right to work, they said they'll apply for a Verification of Application to confirm an application has been made which means I can work for a further 6 months while my application is being considered.

They said they can only apply for verification after I've given my biometrics, which I haven't, I'm not sure if the Experian app is an alternative to biometrics or not. This is so stressful, UKVI taking their time and employer emailing me every day :(

It seems many people here received emails about their cases being complex, any particular reason for this trend? What actually makes the case complex, if anyone can advise?

I also noticed in the application they asked if the applicant has entered the UK illegally, but this concept of illegal entry was only applied in 2022 why would someone who entered five years ago be questioned about this?

Many thanks

Anyone know current waiting times for SET protection? It would be great if someone was granted indefinite recently, what their time scale was. Also when I submitted my application in the start of February nothing was needed no biometrics or documents. I think because I used my BRP card as reference so biometrics weren’t needed. Thanks

Hi everyone can someone please assist me with answer to these questions in my SEP P application.

1. Do you have any family in your country of birth, country of nationality or any country where you have
lived for more than 5 years?
2. Do you have any friends in your country of birth, country of nationality or any country where you have
lived for more than 5 years?
3. Do you have any cultural ties to or are you part of any social groups in your country of birth, country of
nationality or any country where you have lived for more than 5 years?

Really i'm confused about the answers.

I'll be very appreciative if you reply quickly.

It is not necessary to post the same questions multiple times!!

These queations dont have a right or wrong answer. They are specific to your circumstances and should be answered honestly. They are not trick questions and no one can tell you what to say, we are all strangers to you here.

What is the processing time for Set (P) route nowadays?
A friend of mine applied for it online on the 10th of February.

Hi guys,

I have applied for Set (P) (in person biometrics appt, application received 15 march and no dependants). I still have not received any correspondence (eg complex or successful email) and I am a bit worried because:

1/ I was on student visas for five years before I had to seek asylum in the UK in 2018 and used to travel a lot then, so when I was asked about my travel history in last 10 years, I had to list 10 trips. I'm wondering if this is gonna delay my response time a lot?

2/ in the 'do you have any friends/family etc' section I was under the impression that it means any friends in any country other than the UK so I explained that all my old friends have moved elsewhere in the world and I cannot list any friends (obviously have friends in the UK but thought it means only outside UK!). Is this gonna make my case complex?

I'm so stressed out as uni and work keep asking me for updates on my application and I'm a medical student, it's just a lot of pressure. I also have seen people here saying they've provided evidence of their careers/jobs/education etc. I did not submit anything on top of documents I was asked to submit. Does that make a difference?

Thanks for reading my rather long post and looking forward to reading any replies from you.
