I would like to know How long time it takes for all process.Do I need to apply through solicitor or I can fill the form and apply my self?and one more thing I have a biometric residence permit and travel document ,do I have to send all the document with the form?I really need to know the processing time to my recent employer because he wants to know how long it takes to process as well.can you please help me ??

HI rKrai26 well it takes anything from 4-6 months right now ive been waiting 4 months yesterday but they are also few people that have been waiting longer than 6 months.if you application is straight forward like no criminal convictions and lot of dependants you can just fill in the form yourself and send it off.but if you can afford it i would recomend you use a solicitor there is a very good one in london called Shaka Services in kennington 02077356744 who specialises on {ILR PROTECTION ROUTE} you will need to send in your biomatric card and travel document it says on the form somewhere,as for the employer as long as your application was sent to the home office while your leave was still valid you still have a right to work untill the HO concludes your case hope this helps GOOD LUCK!!

I urge you not to despair. These are hard times and government cuts being rolled out across the public sector are impacting on services. Fortunately for us we are still waiting but I'd like to think there are some not so lucky, who are now without jobs in these government departments. The remaining ones working on our cases may be burdened with massive workloads and perhaps not copying with pressure. The general election in a few months isn't helping either, with the government desperate to keep the lid on immigration boiling pot. It is a struggle but we will rip the fruit at some point no matter how long.

@Blessed, thanks for posting that solicitor number, I rang them- Mine is probably still a couple of weeks away because it was returned for correction in July- I had not filled some parts of the application, so it will probably be in another couple of weeks- So good luck to you and Masi this week.

Hi I think you must claim your money back as most if not all of us didn't pay. I recommend doing that after the decision has been made and you're sure it isn't going to mess up the order of processing. Just to be safe

Quick update. If you remember the friend of ours I mentioned a few weeks ago who had been waiting 11 months, the good news is their approval letter arrived recently. Hope the same happens soon for all those waiting longer than 4-6 months

I am so excited I could just burst. I've got my ILR. I came home to 2 missed deliveries from DX and Royalmail. I collected the mail and there it was, an approval letter. I'm now waiting for the permit which I'm guessing DX will deliver tomorrow.
My timeline;

Biometrics and acknowledgement Letter (Dated 4th August 2014)
Biometric Letter Received: 07 August 2014
Enrolled Biometrics: 07 August 2014
Approval letter: 18 November 2014 (Dated 13 November 2014)
BRP: Waiting for delivery

Thank you for all your support. Good luck to you all
