Naturalisation - Contact numbers

Post by naz444 » Thu May 24, 2012 1:37 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know phone number to call and check the progress of application for Naturalisation?

The phone number which I received with the acknowledgement letter only leads to automated message.

Thank for the help.

It's the same number, only you have to press 2 and then 1 (instead of 2).

I tried option 2 and then 1, I am getting automated message saying they are unable to give an update for applications submitted under 6 months time and the call will end now.

I don't know if others have the same experience.

I guess I have to just wait.

Sorry, I might be confused, but definitely one of the options take you to a recorded message, and the other will eventually be answered by a person. Unless it's out of hours or they're extremely busy.
Just keep trying.

Hello,

I have tried the option 2 and then 2, it took me to applications which are more than 6 months old and person who answered the call refused to provide any update as my application is less than 6 months old.

If the application is less than 6 months old, the only option you hear is automated message and then the system hangs up the call.

If anyone else have come across similar issue please share your experience.

In short, if your application happens to be less than 6 months old, there is no way to check the progress.

However you can try option 2 and 2 like before hoping to get a nice call center person and enquire about your application. In order to get a status, either you have to be extremley lucky or very good at telephone conversation.

Have tried many times with no luck...and I am very bad at starting a conversation. :(
