Need Advice: Self Employed and Sole trader

Post by gaboon_viper » Fri May 25, 2012 10:15 pm

hi helpful forum.

i will apply for ILR in FEB 2013. my earning period will be from Jan 2012-jan2013.

i am self employed and was doing my transaction from Jan2012- April-2012 on Weekly BASIS. One of my friend told me that its very risky nowadays and its better for me to Register my own Company. I did registered it in April. Now confused in few things, please help.

1. Can I claimed the earnings of my period of Jan2012-April 2012. i.e before registration of my company?

2. I am planning to withdraw salary+ dividends. which option is best for me . i.e salary+ dividends on Payslips OR salary separate + Dividend Vouchers.?

3. How to pay: Do I have to do 2 transactions per month. i.e one for salary and one for dividends OR Can i transfer both into my personal account from business account in single transaction.?

Your help and advice will be greatly appreciatied.
Waiting for your valueable inputs

Thanks

A bit ambiguous title:
Self Employed and Sole trader
Do you mean self-employed sole trader? Or
Do you mean that you are a sole trader and also carry out another self-employment (in addition to the one that you do as a sole trader)?

From Jan2012-April 2012----- Sole trade or Self Employed WITHOUT ANY COMPANY OF MINE.

From April till Future------ new company registered and Operated under Private Limited Company.

now my confusion is ...
1. Can i Claim earning of period JAN 12 till April12

2. Do i have to claim only from April onwards??

is it must to claim 12 monts?? i cant claim less then that?

Thanks :)

You are eligible to apply 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date of switching to HSMP (in-country). I.e. based on the information above this would be: 28/02/2013 - 28days.

While the information provided under Q28 in the following sticky is for ILR, the same Section 3C rule applies to any application made to extend leave to remain. See below for further information on your question about your status while your appeal was being processed: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=79378
