Tier4 Dependant Queries

Post by Radhika_N » Fri Jun 01, 2012 4:20 pm

My husband is in Cambridge on a MPhil/PhD at NQF level 7. I plan to join him as dependant and have the following queries:

- Is English Language certification a requirement for dependant - like an IELTS score? I have 18 years of work experience and many of those years in MNC's like HSBC, ADP, etc. And my bachelor's degree was taught in English. Is it still required?

- Is the financial evidence for dependant visa application required for 9 months or for more? This is not clear. (As his Tier4 visa is for 3 years).

- Is a tenant agreement required as proof of accomodation?

- My husband and I were engaged last December and he moved to UK as a student in january. Subsequently he returned to India in March for our wedding. Do we need to provide any proof other than marriage certificate? In some visa guidance websites they have asked for email transcripts and phone records, etc. Is that required?

Thanks for your time.

regards

Your English is not tested for this application.

(1) if the Tier 4 (General) Student is studying in inner London (as defined in paragraph 12 of Appendix C), there must be £600 in funds for each month for which the applicant would, if successful, be granted leave under paragraph 319D(a), up to a maximum of £5,400, or

(2) if the Tier 4 (General) Student is not studying in inner London, there must be £450 in funds for each month for which the applicant would, if successful, be granted leave under paragraph 319D(a), up to a maximum of £4,050,

Some ancilliary evidence of your relationship and contact would be useful
