General Visitor to UK

Hello,

I am a student in Romania but I am a British Citizen, I am married to my wife who is Yemeni but she has the EEA family permit in Romania to remain here for 5 years.
I want to apply for her to visit the UK for the summer holidays as I have holidays for 3 months from studies and want to visit my family.
My Auntie will sponsor her as she has a big business and she will provide everything from her tickets to her expenses in the UK.
Therefore my questions are:
1) Do I need to provide any bank statements for my wife's application or my Aunties are enought?
2) Do they accept copies as it will take long for them to arrive from UK so it will be easier for her to scan and e-mail them to me.
3) For accommodation my DAD will write a letter to say we can stay at his house (which is rented) so is that OK?

One more question....

Do I apply for General Vistor for my wife or just Family Visit?
and the sponsor can it be anyone or have relation to my wife, i.e. I know the sponsor very well but my wife does not??
