ILR success Solihull 6 June 2012 - Set O HSMP and tier 1

Post by joh892 » Thu Jun 07, 2012 9:26 pm

I have been following this forum for the last 5 months and benefitted a lot from the experiences of others. My preparations were entirely based on the knowledge gathered from this forum. So it's my time to briefly share my experience at Solihull on the 6 June 2012.

I applied under Set O having completed 5 years under HSMP (1 year ) and tier 1 (4 years). My appointment was scheduled for 10.05am. I arrived at 9.40am with my wife and allowed in after security check. There weren't many people waiting and after a 40 minutes wait we were called to meet a CW at counter 4. She was a lady and very friendly.

She first asked for my app form and passport. She checked the application form and asked me whether I was claiming points in finances criteria for only six months which I confirmed. She then checked for some information from her computer and printed out some information relating to previous applications. She completed a form she had and then asked for my payslips and bank statements. She cross checked the payslips against the bank statements but did not add up anything as it was obvious i had more than the required amount. She then asked for LIUK test and after I gave she cross checked against her computer and told me I had scored 100% and my wife missed two :). She then asked for cohab documents. I gave her several documents and she selected what she wanted and handed the rest back to me. After picking the cohab docs, she said ILR approved and I should proceed to pay.

The CW did not asked about my absences at all. I had 98 days.

The payment took around 2 minutes and then proceeded for biometrics which lasted around 10 minutes. After biometrics we were told to return after 1.5 hrs at 1pm to pick the docs. We went out to the shops and returned at exactly 1pm and our docs were ready.

Overall great experience. I thought Solihull PEO is small but very organised. The staff were very friendly too.

Did you provide the photocopy of the entry exit stamps on the passport ? I guess they do cross check the absence dates on your passport right ?
