This is amazing. They airline should be paying him a fee of several hundred euros for denying him boarding. You are both letting them get away with murder. He should get it in writing from the KLM manager that he will get the refund.danschinorge wrote:thc for theninput. I talked to KLm in amsterdam but they told me KLM africa in lusaka is responsible for this since that is where the ticket was bought. There were a total of 8 people left at the airport yester (as it turned out today). my husband now got a net ticket for tomorrow but he was made to pay a ticket changing fe f 300 euros with the promise that he can get that refunded later but that in the system it needs to show a form of payment ( I dont know much about how these things work but that sounds very strange to me)
anyway lets hope he will get on the plane this time
He must get that in writing.danschinorge wrote:he is booked for tomorrow night. well they told him that they cant give him the money back regardless of how much he insisted and that klm europe is going to do it. KLM europe however claims that since the booking was made in zambia it is klm africa that is responsible...
everyone is just passing the ball around. But we will make sure to get all the names and details and hope they get scared enough.
I would have thought by arriving the day before, he was in plenty of time. Don't take this lying down. Their incompetence is not your fault.danschinorge wrote:also they claim overbooking was not the reason for the denied boarding and just that it was unfortunate that the gat had already closed when his issue was resolved
I hope you ask for at least what is required by European Law (which definitely applies to this flight), plus the extra he was required to pay.danschinorge wrote:Hi everyone
thx for your support. just wanted to let you know that he is on the plane as we speak. at least it worked out this time. I will keep pressuring KLM to make sure we get this refunded and some form of compensation
