Query about SOC Job Title for Employment Letter

Dear friends,

I am going to apply for ILR in the next two months and currently I am trying to sort out my employment letter which will finally be signed by my company. I am project manager in construction and can find the perfect SOC code for my role from the 'UKBA Occupation codes of practice for Tier 2 Sponsors'. I have picked up 1122 for my role and I do exactly what has been described in the 'Example of job tasks' for NQF level 6 against this code and my salary is also in line with the required figure. The only problem that I have is that my actual job title is Project Manager but 'related job titles' in the list against this code are Clerk of Works, Construction Manager, Contract Manager and Site Manager. Although, I can use Construction Manager but that is not my job title in the company. Can I pick the same code (1122) which is more appropriate but use my actual job title of Project Manager in my employment letter??
