reeree wrote:Hi All,
I'm new to this forum.
My husband applied for settlement in October 2013!!!! 9 months on, we are still waiting.
He got called for an interview today at Islamabad embassy, but they never handed him his passport back like they did with many others.
They have advised him, that he will need to collect it from Gerry's office in Lahore next week.
A few people mentioned, that this would mean his visa application has been unsuccessful.
We are all so worried. Does anyone know if this means that his visa has actually been decline?
I meet all the spousal application requirements. The only minor issue is that my husband overstayed in the UK in the past, but made a voluntary departure back to Pakistan last year.
Mu husband did mention that they asked him alot of questions surrounding his TOEIC test, however he handled his full interview in English as his English is very good and his TOEIC certificate is also genuine.
So why did my husband not get his documents back today?
Congratulations to all, who managed to make successful spousal applications.
Any help would be appreciated.
My husband application was on hold after sending further documents we emailed them and asked whether they received the documents, there response was they did.Ket1 wrote:Can anyones whos case is on hold please let me know of their situation regarding contact with the BHC in Islamabad and whether they have also received acknowledgement letters?Ket1 wrote:hey everyone

In sha Allah, I am hoping that he will get it.
I think we were more panicked at what people were saying there.
Because they got their visa's straight away, and said that any people who never means that they will be hearing bad news.
Let's hope Allah showers us with his mercy.
I've been waiting too long :'(

After 2 months we emailed them again asking whether they accepted the documents or not, unfortunately there reply was they cannot make a decision on documents sent and therefore our application remains on hold until the legal income threshold hearing decision is known.
Thank you everyone. My Dua's are for everyone inshallah you or your spouses will get the visa's soon.reeree wrote:Congratulations!! xxALWAYSHOPE wrote:Congratulations !dx6666 wrote:Alhamdulillah my wife's visa was granted today, she had her interview and then she got her visa afterwards.
