Hi Everyone

I applied on 10th February and it has passed the 6 months mark and still no response. I know some people did get a response within a few weeks of applying but everytime I contact Gerrys for a response they just ask me to wait for a response from the 'relevant department'

I am aware that some people have contacted british high commission directly. Did you get any luck with that?

Also there used to be a tracking service but I cannot seem to find it anywhere...?

1st Application: 2nd Febuary
October (something): Refused as latest wage slip outside 28 days requirement
Documents re- submitted in Mirpur on 07/11/14
2 Visa Processed Emailed received today- 27/01/14
Waiting for RFC call...

I got the same response. They advised they will get back to me within a few days but heard nothing. Rang them this morning and they just stated the same thing...that we will have to wait...

who did you ring? I applied on 20th January and still got no response except for "still in the process". Its so frustrating that we are getting no where. I also phoned, emailed them. ECO has not assessed the application yet

Hey Sami3

I rang Gerrys UKVI number last week and they asked me to email them all the applicants information such as passport number, date and application centre name etc and once I sent it I received a response advising I will get a response within a few days with the progress of my application.

I called them this morning and the guy was clueless and just advised for me to wait.

I applied 10th February so it is rediculous

They been doing this for ages... they first ask you for all the information and then say that they will respond back within few days....or they say that they will escalate your case... these are all standard replies which they are sending to everyone...
i clearly meet financial requirement earning 32k from one job... wife passed her English test and is a fluent English speaker... My MP has emailed them but only standard reply everytime that it is still in the process :( :( :(

Yeah I had no issues with my financial requirements and I submitted as much information as possible but there just is no process. I know people who applied after I did and they all received their visas within 3 months.

The advisor stated that the delay is due to individual circumstances but when I asked him to clarify which individual circumstances can play a factor in the delay...He had no response

I know someone who processes the visa applications in dubai and she said that all settlement applications are processed in islamabad so just playing the waiting game.

Got this reply this morning

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
service.

I understand you have been waiting for long and apologise for any
inconveniences. Currently the majority of settlement visa applications were
on hold and waiting for a response. The judgment from the High court will
mean that, from the 28 July, the 4,000 individuals whose applications are
currently on hold, pending this judgment, will now receive a decision.
These are cases which met all the requirements apart from the minimum
income threshold and now stand to be refused. If you were refused, you may
ask for refund and make a fresh application.
