City & Guilds International English (A1 Preliminary) is made up of two examinations: City & Guilds International ESOL and International Spoken ESOL. They are English language examinations at level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

So I hope its accepted by BHC

I just found this for your reference hope it helps

You must provide evidence of passing an approved test at an approved level as set out in the list above. You indicate that you are aware that some people have passed a test at a level higher than the required A1 level but have been refused. Without specific details of these cases it may be that they have not provided evidence of a approved test on the list above and that the level they provided was also not specified on the list above. For example the 2nd test listed "Cambridge English: Preliminary (also known as Preliminary English Test)" which is awarded by Cambridge ESOL is approved from level A2 and above. If a person provided evidence of an A1 qualification in this test it would not be accepted by UKBA as it has not an approved test.

Hi,

Has anyone who applied in September, heard anything back as yet ? i applied on the 24th Sept and havent heard anything back apart from their initial email which gave me the GWF reference number. I read in some of the posts earlier that August applications were being issued, not sure what happened since then. Also what are the ways of contacting them to hear a meaningful reply. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Hi, my wife applied on 15th September from Mirpur. The email I received from UKVI from an escalation on 01/12/14 stated:

"...your visa application is under the process for further enquiries –
checks. Please wait patiently for the enquiries to conclude and for a
decision to be made..."

Hey Ket1,

I recieved the same respons that it has been recieved, my wife applied from Karachi. Is there anything in the news about the delays as of recent. I assumed my case was simple and straight forward as i am a british citizen and have been perm employed for 3 years with salary above their requirements.

Whats the best way to contact UKVI ?

To someone who was saying they got refused on housing report. My wife got granted her visa on a housing report which was 2 years old!

The main points of the housing report should state that there is no over-crowding and the room which the husband/wife will dwell in. Also the rest of the house can be shared by them etc.

Everyone's situation in regards to accommodation iS different I.e. Some people may be living with parents and some with parents and siblings. This is where the inspection report is necessary. uKVI want to see if the place you plan to be living at is overcrowded at the time of application. So In your situation either there was no risk of overcrowding where you live or you got lucky With ECO not paying much attention to it.

NB: inspection reports are not required where the applicant and their sponsor will living at a property by themselves.
