My wife was also telling me that lady at gerrys told her it's true that if you get a reference number in the email from UKVI then that means that you have definetly been granted the visa. But she did say that it doesn't necessarily have to be two emails, but having the reference in the email is the main clue.

No need to worry, if you inquired then this a standard reply they give, i recently asked (2 weeks ago)for one and they said they havent received mine so dont rely on their replies, unless they email you themselves.

UKVI standard processing times are 12 weeks. Recently applications from Pakistan have been taking around 4 months to conclude. Once the application is being looked at (under process) the turnover is quiet quick so long as all required paperwork is submitted.

Hi guys
Would the Eco's pick out the times we called/contacted our spouses in Pakistan? I mean like if we're at work and call/skype on our breaks?! Lol
Will they scrutinize this?

And congrats Ali! :)

My spouse contacted the visa enquiry line from the uk. She was told that the application is on hold awaiting further checks and enquiries. And when my wife asked if the enquiries were regarding the evidence she submitted about herself (as she is the sponsor) she was told that they would contact me (the applicant) and ask me questions regarding the documents. Has anyone received any calls from the embassy? Or know what types of enquiries they make? As far as I am aware, our documents were as good as they get and my wife earns well over the required threshold (£41k+) so I'm kind of nervous now as to what they are potentially going to ask.
