Roger is right. Even I confirmed from couple of solicitors i.e Joppa on Expat forum and Batley Khan on facebook. Both confirmed that it is within 28 days of the date of online application.

@gucci. Your solicitor is misleading you and completely wrong information. He is not worth paying £700-800 for the application. Just search few pages back on this page and you will loads of cases of refused only because they were not meeting the 28 days rule.

I applied on 3rd December 2014, it is in my signature. Once you contact them few times for Status Update, then they ask you to escalate, you can escalate yourself also by providing the information as a user already advised you.

Gucci, that is if you have one solicitor, as many users mentioned amount of queries you had seems like you are doing it all yourself. Also many users here have quoted you and given you information from GOV.UK itself. They set the requirements and we have to meet those requirements. You have to go through all that paperwork, takes few hours but is to the point and coming from the criteria setters themselves.

As users mentioned if you have a solicitor saying that, then you need to change that solicitor as in most cases including student visa this 28 days timeline applies. In a nutshell you want to send them AS RECENT PAPERWORK as POSSIBLE. not something that was like years old! Hope this clarifies.

where do i get Application paper form: GWF000000000
and also where do i get Sponsorship undertaking form SU07
Sponsor letter confirming various details.
please help me as i am really confused.

You will need to apply online, Here is the link https://www.gov.uk/apply-uk-visayou need to register using your email address. Then you can select the type of visa you want to apply for. I believe yours would be something like this.
Type of Visa, Settlement
Type of application, Settlement, Husband

Then fill in the form it should guide you through all the process itself. You pay fees and everything on that particular online form.

Now you can get SU07 form from here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... p-form.pdf

You will also need to fill in an APPENDIX, depending on the route you are applying for. Normally it is Appendix 2. here is the link to it https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... endix2.pdf

Hope it helps. Just stay calm, have faith in ALLAH (SWT) inshaAllah it would be fine.

Salaam all

Thought I'd share with you my full timeline and list of docs we submitted.

We applied Cat A - Same job over 2 years.

Married: Apr '14
Online Submission: 14 Nov '14
Documents & Biometrics: 21 Nov '14
Docs forwarded to Islamabad: 21 Nov '14
Additional docs requested & sent: 2 Feb '15
Processed & concluded emails: 4 Feb '15
Husband received text to collect passport: 5 Feb '15
Passport collected with visa: 6 Feb '15 Alhumdulillah - Yes ref number was visa number!

Docs submitted:

Sponsor

- A detailed cover letter from - how we were introduced, how marriage was proposed, plans for future and list of docs
- Verified copy of Passport – showing British Nationality and right to abode/work in UK. Also showing entry/exit stamps – verified by UK solicitor
- Completed VAF4A form
- Completed VAF 4A Appendix 2 form
- Letter from UK employer confirming permanent employment
- 6 months payslips
- 6 months bank statements
- Latest p60
- Whatsapp Messaging screenshots since I came back to the UK – date also included in screenshots to verify period of communication - I showed like 2 per week
- Viber call logs showing calls made
- General photographs including Mehndi function, Wedding day, Reception day & photos after wedding
- A letter from our local council detailing inspection of my parent’s home and confirming there is no overcrowding
- A letter from my father confirming happy for me and my husband to live there

Applicant:

- Cover letter from my husband - list of documents, plans for future etc etc
- Passport – confirming right to abode in country of application
- Copy of National ID card
- Original Tuberculosis Certificate – October 2014
- Original City & Guilds English Test Certificate – satisfying English test requirement
- 2 latest passport photos
- Original Marriage Certificate
- Marriage Certificate translated into English
- Original wedding card of Reception Wedding day

We were requested on Monday to send Proof of Property Ownership - so I sent across a copy of the Title Deed & I also paid £3 to get online Title register & I sent a mortgage statement from 2014.

I didn't use a solicitor as I felt our application was straight forward and I just did my own research before calmly preparing and submitting the docs.

I would say be patient, you wont get a response after a month of applying - I know it can be an anxious wait but all is in Allah swt's Hands. Read your namaz and have your faith in Him.

Wish everyone all the best In Sha Allah and I look forward to continuing to read peoples successes!
Online Form: 14 Nov 14
Documents & bio: 21 Nov 14
Requested to send additional docs: 2 Feb 15
Concluded email received: 4 Feb 15
Visa collected: 6 Feb 15 :-D

May Allah (swt) grant everyone success with their Visas In Sha Allah.

Full name of applicant:
Application number (GWFxxxxxxxxx):
Visa application centre reference number:
Date of application:
Date of birth of applicant:
Place of application ( City and Country ):
Type of Visa applied:
Nationality:
Passport Number:
Reason:

After supplying above information you just add in "Reason" Escalate the enquiry for status update.

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

We understand you have been waiting for long and apologise for any
inconveniences. We have received a response from the decision making
centre, following your request for information on the current status of
your visa application. They stated that "Application concluded and will be
sent to VAC in due course. The applicant will be contacted through VAC once
the documents are ready for collection."

This email is stressing me out, can someone who has actually been granted visa, please confirm if they ever received this email status? As if not ALL, MOST who receive the Initial Assessment and Online Checks email status, get visas granted.

Thanks in advance
