My wife's application in still not assessed but I've given my notice and am starting a new job in a month. The new job is higher pay and still over £18,600 but I am a bit worried if they contact my employer after I left, or even now that I;ve given notice, and my employer says he has left or is leaving! Any thought?

The new job is higher pay and what I submitted was true at the time of application!
hi the home office rang my employer regarding my employment so be careful when leaving..

thats why we are planning to show both jobs to be on safe side
but dont understand thts which category we fall in bcos one job my husband working since june 2013 (its a part time job) he got promotion and from feb 2015 he is earning 19200 from this job alone so we will submit 6 month slip from feb to july
on the other hand hubby was lost his full time job in october and now he got 17500£ ull time job starting from tomorow 5may 2015

means at time of application we will have
one job £19200 6 month wage
and
other job started in may £ 17500 (3 month wage slip)

so which category we fall in??
Why would you want to include a second job when the first job meets the criteria?

By adding the second job it will just lead to more confusion and has no use anyway because you will only have 3 months payslips for it. Many people have experienced how dumb these ECOs can be so why confuse the ECO further?

If I was in your position I would include the one job which meets the criteria and keep the application as concise as possible.

In your cover letter you can explain that you also have a second job but as the main Job you are relying on meets the threshold you won't be relying on the second job.
Agree
May Allah swt make it easy for us all

Visas are commonly refused if the sponsor leaves his/her place of work before the visa has been granted. Or if the ECO tries to contact the employer either by phone or email and doesn't get any response.

You'll just have to wait and hope for the best.
Oh crap! Really? I've already given notice so am leaving end of the month! Did those people get refused because they left employment altogether or left for a better job?

Was this home office ringing for FLR or ECO ringing employer for entry clearance visa application?

In my case I've already given notice so I cant do anything now! The other job is better pay so it should satisfy their requirement, I will be extremely annoyed if they pick on this because my earnings would still be way over the threshold in the new job.

Is there anyway I can communicate this to ECO? ie send them my contract for new job?

Has anyone applied in March from Islamabad and got answers yet?

We applied March 16. According to their website there is 43% chance (I think) that decisions will be made in 30 working days which is now.

Has anyone got decisions yet?

It depends on what English test he took, some of the providers have a 2 year expiry, therefore it may be out of date. However if the test doesn't have an expiry date then it will be fine. Here's the government website link:

Hi
Thank you, I have seen this link. His certificate doesn't have an expiry date so I'm assuming it should be ok.
Thanks
What test provider was it?
City and guilds.. Jzk for your help both me and my hubby are really confused
I have double checked for you and the city and guild test is valid until 5th November 2015 so long as the test was taken before April 2015. So in your case it is acceptable.

I just saw your post, my wife tookk city and guilds test. As long as you took the test before April 2015 you can submit it for any application until November 2015.

I think the test was valid forever but the home office removed it from their approved tests.

HI,

All these people who are re-applying again after having there visa refused are they getting a refund for the cost of the first visa application?

Or do you have to pay another VISA fee to and reapply again?

Thanks

Not only do they have to pay the fees again, they have to pay the new increased fee + £600 for the new NHS Surcharge.

quite a complicated situation - probs best speak to a solicitor for proper advice, but i will answer as best as i can

from what i understand if you are a permanent residence then yes you can apply for a visa - worth getting that checked though to be on the safe side

if you only have a few pictures, is there anybody else who took pictures on the same day? if not then explain to them in your sponsorship declaration why you dont have them and give them plenty of other pictures to compensate - your honeymoon pics will work

chat history to prove contact will be fine. if you have used calling cards you should have phone bills from your mobile indicating calls using your phone. that and the chat history will be enough

for the financial side, its a little more complex

salaried employment is work with a fixed salary per annum e.g £22k per year, paid on a paye basis

non salaried employment is generally used for contractors and those who dont have a fixed salary - i.e. their work is dependent on the amount of hours they work

if you are applying using your employment as proof of income then you do not have to have any savings. bank loans and overdraft doesn't factor in to the application - you cant use it

if your salary is per hour, then chances are you're in non salaried employment

to judge whether you have enough to meet the financial requirements, you need to give a few more details. but the easiest way to do this is to go to the tax office for a p60. this will give a statement indicating your salary for the past year and the tax you have paid. as long as it says you are earning more than 18600 then it is fine. when you put in your application you need to be in employment though and provide proof.

you are using the correct forms but as i say, best thing to do is go to a solicitor.

Appeal was allowed on the 20th of Jan but my wife still hasn't had a call letter. I've chased them quite a few times and this is the most recent response:

'Allowed determination received under process for further enquiries checks'

What else could they possibly be processing/checking?

Good luck, aunty sally! Insha'Allah it'll be good news. I think it usually takes 2-3 days to hear from Gerry's.

And hopefully they'll start processing March applications now!
