Sorry I don't think they will allow u to do anything as applying under the correct category is your job...did u not ask anyone or lawyer?
On the one hand they say that you cannot give further documents later, but on the other hand they state that should some documents be missing and those documents would decide whether you got the visa or not then they should ask for those documents. I have just informed them that additional documents are available which may be material to the application so they should in theory ask to see them.
I didn't look at the appendix 2 until the last minute and didn't get any advice, whereas I should have looked at it at the start, even then I provided the relevant documents with one exception which was that all the documents needed to be related to the company's financial year whereas I tied them up with the tax year. If I had taken the time to get advice or read the guidance notes then it would have been better.
I thought that I had addressed the main concerns of employment, accommodation and subsisting marriage.
I advise everyone to seek legal help and get it right the first time but getting legal advice is also tricky as you have some people offering good advice and some that don't seem to know what they are doing, and seem just as confused as most of us. So speak to 2/3 and select the one that seems best but not someone that will just tell you what you want to hear and cause your problems later. It is better to pay money upfront then to pay it later and suffer the mental anguish of delays. It is better to take your time and get it right rather than to rush and have to apply all over again. I have written to a solicitor as well now and I am waiting for advice, worse case scenario I will need to apply again.
