Yes after a certain date they started giving the 30 days stamp I think
According to
https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... n-6-months

18th march onwards all visas will be for 30days. You seem to be the exception to the rule. I dont know why or how
Thank you for the link. I am slightly confused as well, although it does not matter either way I guess.
Did you have a lot of savings to show in the bank when you submitted the case?
When my daughter applied in April,we showed considerable savings when we submitted the case and Alhamdulillah we were successful and my son in law got 33 months visa which we posted here.
So my thinking is maybe that could have been the reason,as we were also surprised but could not really make out why?

No I think I only had about £2000 in my bank account and for most of the time it was operating on overdraft. However I come from an established family, and showing more money would not have been a problem...but I didn't see the point.

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your

decision has been made or, if necessary, during the consideration of your
application.

Got this reply when I asked for status update... Anyone know what it means??

Appeal submitted 26th Aug
Confirmation 12th October
MP letter 12th Nov
Appeal deadline- 22 Jan
Email- refusal overturned- 24th Nov

What this means is that it's at the final stage which is that it's with the eco being assessed ... in Shaa Allah you should hear within 2 weeks as long as you don't get a delayed for further check emails that everyone so far starting of may are starting to get ... it's due to a backlog of cases esp mirpur

Salam Everyone,

Hope you are all in good health,

I called ukvi today for an update on my spouse application and was told that there was no information matching the details on the system, when up until last week there was.

The person I spoke to said they will escalate the case and find out what was happening, we submitted biometrics on june 11th.

Does anybody know what the reason could be for there being no information on there system?

I would appreciate any help.

May allah reunite all of us with our spouses soon In sha Allah

Unless someone is applying partly or fully through savings, there is no need to show any savings. UKVI doesn't care how much someone has got in savings, they want to see the sponsor meets the threshold (unless they are exempt).

My wife submitted passport on the 15th July. Docs sent to Sheffield one day before and we have still received no official email confirmation that the forms are received....is this normal?

I keep getting conflicting replies via email.

On 8th july i was told that the
'Pre assessment and online verification conducted - Under process for
further enquiries – checks'

On my already accelerated case.

Last week i was told:
I have tracked the status of GWF and date of birth  and found that application is currently in progress

Today:
I have tracked the status of your application and found that it is waiting
to be assessed by an Entry Clearance Officer.

Just what the hell is going on there?

With the way things are going, i doubt it. Whenever i get in touch with them they contradict their previous reply so i dont know whether my case has been looked at or not it is irritating because they never give you a straight answer. Anyway i am looking at atleast mid august to hear from them. Good luck to you too.

Hello,

Documents were submitted on 15th July 2015 in Lahore.
How do I find out if they have been forwarded to Islamabad?
Most people I see on this forum have written in their signature that their documents were forwarded the next day after submitted at visa application centre. I have not received any email regarding any documents being forwarded yet.
Help please.

You are around the same time as me. I applied on the 26th of May from Lahore. We are in the same boat. If you have heard 'no updates' everytime I have received conflicting replies too. Sometime the following email has been a step backward from the previous email. Oh well.

We both are looking at anything from mid to end of August. Good luck to you.

When my wife submitted biometric and everything else they charged her 200 rupees. They also rearranged the file I sent... really angered me....its a joke. No wonder they want people to send to Sheffield.

The Rs 200 are for the sms service. Secondly they also rearranged my file as per how the ECO goes through it. It angered me too as i had spent time making it perfect but nothing we can do.
