t0mmy wrote:Hi Guys,
I have recently been granted Indefinite leave to remain. I would like to know the visa requirements for my wife to enter UK. I believe now my wife can apply for a spouse visa( as against a dependent visa in the home country- Previously I was on Tier 1 G).
Yes she can apply for spouse visa
Also for spouse visa do I need to show the £18,600 salary requirements proof example payslips, bank statements or just an employer letter will do.
Yes you will need wage slips,.P60 Letter of employment etc
Also how long long it usually takes to process such a visa as well as the procedure of applying.
Between 4-6 months if you are applying from Indo -Pak
A colleague of mine who is a British citizen had to wait about 7-8 months for his partner's spouse visa to get approved.
The spouse visa holder can they take up employment as a doctor in training or nurse?
Yes they can take any job up
Any useful link for foreign qualified doctors/dentists on a spouse visa and options available to them to take up employment in the relevant field.
I don't know about priority... In the emails they say they work on first come first serve basis. But who knows.... Also leaving it this late you need about a minimal of three months. But also soon she might not be able to travel, you need to really look into this.davisco12345 wrote:Hi all. Please does anyone know if priority is given to a pregnant spouse when it comes to the waiting time for the visa?
Am asking this because my spouse is 4 months pregnant and i want her to come but am waiting for my ilr to be granted around feb. Just want to know ifthe UKBA can quicken her decision making process based on the fact that she needs me by her side as she is all alpne back home.[/i]

6 months is a long wait surely
The proof is in the in the time line of the people in this post
My main concern currently is the accomodation requirement. Currently I live in a shared accomodation and the house rental contract is not in my name.
Does UKBA normally cross check the accommodation proof. Also what is the general requirements for accommodation proof. How many ppl are allowed to stay in a 2-3 bedroom house.
Yes you have to provide a tenancy agreement and a report that the property is big enough for the number of people residing in it. The number of people will depend the size of the rooms (Click on the link in family section about accommodation )
Also what if someone is in a contract job. Do we have to show we are currently earning more then £18,600 as well as earned more then that the last year. Contract jobs are usually on a 3-6 months basis. what's more important whether we have earned the amount in the previous 12 months or currently earning that amount in the next 12 months?

As I will be applying from Islamabad - Any good lawyers there or in the london area? Would you recommend anyone. How much do they normally charge.
If you meet all the criteria, its best to do it yourself. Its an easy procedure and will save you a lot of money...........We normally don't recommend solicitors, so you will have to find one yourself...........sorry

well you have 28 days to apply. then they give the bhc 19 weeks to relook at e decision. but anything can happen within that time. if nothing happens or do not overturn it then it will go court.so can be upto 7 to 9 monthsSadia786 wrote:How much time it will took if i do apeal??
