You are very welcome. Anything to give you the encouragement to pick up the pieces and start again.

I know very little about TB tests. I read on this forum that you cannot get a new test until the old one expires. Might be worth checking with the agency that do the test and then taking it from there. If your certificate is valid at the time of applying then it might be worth applying with the current one.

I understand that your visa was refused because confusion arose between your gross and net salary. So that this does not happen again, it might be be worthwhile providing a summary of your salary showing the gross salary and tax deducted.

Although it is a change, I think sending your applications directly to the UK will make the process a little faster. I had to send my papers to Pakistan only to find they were then sent back to the UK.

A few things to remember:
  • 1 - From the link I sent earlier, establish what papers go to Sheffield and what goes with your Husband to the regional processing centre.
2 - Remember to include a self addressed envelope. They asked us to send one so that they can return our papers once a decision is made.
3 - Get fresh copies of all your documentation, including your bank statements, payslips, accommodation survey, home ownership/rental lease
If you can, get some advice from a lawyer regarding how you could reorganise the information you sent.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Are you sure? I thought they considered documents if they received them before processing began

----------------------
Once you or anyone has submitted their documents, they can not submit any new documents at a later date. Everyone has all the time in the world to check check and check again all the documents a 10000 times to make sure they have got everything in order before submitting. After submitting, that's it. You just have to wait for the outcome.

It's highly rare and almost never that the ECO will contact the applicant, requesting missing documents. This is solely at the discretion of the ECO. But they do have the option to do so if they want.

What documents did you want to send?

---------------------
I wanted to send an extra months statements
I make the 18,600 pay using overtime and enhanced wages. This shows on my payslip under pensionable wage. I did however put £20,000 in the bank in January just in case. I now worried that they might reject it due to the fact it's pensionable pay and not gross. If I sent June's statement the money would be in the account for 6 months.

I think I'm worrying for nothing, it was all done by an immigration lawyer so he must of known what he was doing. I'm just getting myself worked up.

--------------------
Maybe stillwaiting123 or someone else can help you better. But from what you've said, I personally would be concerned. You can't always rely on immigration lawyers. They are known to misguide and be careless. But this does also depend on how much experience they have.

Which category did you apply under? Did the lawyer say that you need to deposit a large some of money to make up for any short fall in meeting the threshold of £18,600 ? If yes, he would have or should have filled in Appendix 2 accordingly. Did you not check?

6 months bank statements + proof of where the savings money came from are a must, without this a refusal is the likely outcome.

Can you list all the documents you submitted?

id b very concerned with this

u have to be earning £18.600 before tax or £1550 per month, also u cannot send any extra documents unless they ask for them or u contact them and ask them and most likely they will say no but u could try.

firstly do not assume a lawyer "knows what they are doing" i made the same mistake myself, u need to read up on it yourself.

secondly £20,000 is nothing, the first £16,000 are not even considered.

e.g. u need to be earning at least £17,000 pa if u want your savings to count and have them in account for 6 months and have the savings declared. but then again it could all work out for u, what is your wage without the overtime and pensionable wage??

This is my 11th week running and in most of the replies from UKVi that i have received have had a different Contact ID. Any cause for concern because I always give the right GWF# and DOB. Anybody else have this issue?

My husband is the applicant and im the sponsor so i would be filling it in on his behalf right? Would i also need to print and send a copy of this application with my supporting documents?

Im hoping to apply by the end of this month inshallah and am getting advice from the lawyer next week.

Yes you can fill it in on his behalf, if that's what you want to do. He will need to sign it though once it's printed. Yes you do need to send a copy of the application with your supporting documents.

Yes they do, how much do earn with overtime and is it consistent
I work on a 24/7 rota so get paid enhanced wages for my weekends, lates, night shifts and overtime. It's not the same every month but u do get some sort of enhancement in wages every time. I had a letter written from my employers(nhs) stating I work unsociable hours and overtime.
