Hi

What happen if you change your job, or lose job or start your own business after applying ??? Would it effect the application, Can they ask you to provide Payslips later or they only rely on what you sent with your application ??

Anyone , any idea ??

thanks

After approx 3 months from when you start completing the form and have submitted the form is wiped off visa4uk (timelapsed)
So basically it shows as in active
Nothing to think to much about

If somebody gets refused would they automatically get a IHS refund or would they have to wait for their passport and then after the IHS is refunded?

It's automatic refund.

No there shouldn't be a problem unless they chase up your employer to see if you still work there? Very unlikely though.

Congrats Mariam, I'm pleased that your wait is finally over and that you have your desired outcome. Mariam as your application was pre 4th July 2015, before the emalgamation of the IHS system, can you please clarify if the IHS refund option disappeared upon notification of your concluded application? Thanks

I applied online on the 16/07/15 and my wife had her biometrics done on 28/07/15. All supporting documents were also received at Sheffield via Royal Mail Signed For Special Delivery on 28/07/15. Why would UKVI say that my application was received on 20/09/15??? Does this potentially mean that my 12 weeks will count from 20/09/2015. I have also NOT been asked to sent a self addressed envelope. I am really frustrated now!!!! Its a Shambles!
I wouldn't worry too much..it may just be a typo error. Once your 60 working days from the date of your online application are up, send a status check request to overseas ukvi enquiry team advising them of the date of your online application and processing time now exceeding the 12 weeks.
No brother its from biometric date....
People need to stop making assumptions based on their individual circumstances. The guidelines are clear that processing timescales are 12 weeks from the date of your application. Nowhere does it stipulate it's from the biometric date. Just because UKVI are failing to meet their targets and notify applicants within the set published standards, individuals are accepting the latter date when calculating the number of days taken to receive an e-mail from ukvi.

Luckybird - this is copied from their standard emails:

We have service level standards for processing UK visa applications. We
will process 90% of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98% within
6 weeks and 100% within 12 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date;
and 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the biometric taken
date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date.
Please note that we define 1 week as 5 working days.

...

So yes, it is from the biometric date.

Payment is all done online whilst completing the online application form, both for IHS and the Visa Application.

My wife completed her online application on 2/10/15 and the payment was given in PKR.
IHS - PKR 102,000
Visa Application - PKR 162,520

Online application: 16/07/2015
Biometrics: 28/07/2015
Pre-assessment: 20/09/2015.

Does anyone know how long it takes the ECO to finalise his decision after the pre-assessment has been done? And also what do they means when they say Pre-assessment done?
Online Application: 16/07/2015
Biometrics: 28/07/2015
Delayed Email Received: 13/09/2015
Escalated: 01/10/2015
Escalted: 23/11/2015
VISA GRANTED: 23/12/2015!!!!

Hi newbie227,

You must have a different version of their standard e-mail as the one I have been sent doesn't elaborate on service standards, but it does state that the carrabian and nigeria applicants, their applications will be processed from the date their documents are received at the sheffield office and for remaining applicants 60 working days excluding weekends and public holidays from the date of their application. If they are unable to process and notify within the 12 weeks then they will contact the applicant to inform they are unable to meet the published standards.

So based on that information I would say 12 weeks commence from the application date, provided you are not from Nigeria or the carrabian continent.
