"Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection."

I applied on 16/07/2015, biometrics were done on 28/07/2015. My application was straight forward as far as I am aware. Has anybody been in the same position as me?

Hello,
Yes we are in the exact same situation as you, we also applied on the 16th July 2015 and received an email to tell us our case has not been "straightforward" we are to worried about this as we were pretty certain our case is ok.

If anyone else has been or is in the same situation and has some advise please share.

Thanks

Thanks for replying. I just dont understand what the issues can be? I am on carers allowance and i am earning around £100' per week. I have been to pakistan 3 times since i got married. I have savings of around £6000 and i also have accommodation as well. I just cant get my head around why my case is not straightforward?

Anyone have any idea?

I have rec'd my IHS refund yesterday for my wife's application submitted:

26 June 2015
bio m 7th July 15
confirmation email rec'd 8 august 15
delay email rec'd 23 sep 15

no further email rec'd at all but got IHS refund; does it mean application was refused or (false hope) could be accidental?

She was in england on student visa before but we got married in PK earlier this year and she applied as a spouse.

Did anyone was/is in a similar situation?

Thanks
J

Did your wife attend the mirpur office? If so it seems it could be a refusal.

Yes unfortunately it means a refusal :(. Really sorry for you, I know how it feels. One thing is that you can tell your spouse before they collect at visa centre so you can soften the blow. I will say though that make sure your spouse doesn't sign the paper until after opening and checking all the documents.

Asalam o laikum my husband received this email, what is this supposed to me?
Dear Customer,
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. THIS MAILBOX IS NOT MONITORED.
Your UK visa application is currently under consideration at the British High Commission Islamabad.

You will then be contacted by the Visa Application Centre when your documents are ready for collection. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre before they have contacted you.
We apologise for the delay in concluding your application. Please avoid making travel arrangements until you have collected your passport.

Yes without doubt! What is frustrating is their response aand the whole process. A couple of days ago I asked for an update and the reply was with a few minutes that application is in progress/ no updates. The reply was just an automated answer. I emailed them again, and received similar email in a couple of mins. One can understand the volumes of queries they receive but they response should not be automated, that's just wrong and no point of contacting them. I wish youand everyone the best in this agonising process!

My refusal was based on financial requirement not being met, because I based my application on biometric date, but everything is based on online date.

I didn't bother with appeal because I had no leg to stand on. I have heard it takes around 6 months.

Salaam,

Is there any way to complain about the face they have not updates the visa processing times. As far as I am aware it still shows processing times for all decisions made in July. I am checking times on Isb.

We are now in Oct surely they could have updated by now?

Is whatsapp call history and Skype call history enough for communication evidence? Or is chat history just as important cos I feel like call logs are enough but I'm not sure.
