Hi everyone, just thought I would update everyone with my case:

My wife applied on 16/07/2015, Biometrics done on 28/07/2015. It has been almost 90 days and around 4 months, still no decision. I am so angry that no decision has been made. I have been told today that it has yet to been seen by the ECO. That was the same update I got on 14/10/2015... I am loosing patience.....

Any advice???
Online Application: 16/07/2015
Biometrics: 28/07/2015
Delayed Email Received: 13/09/2015
Escalated: 01/10/2015
Escalted: 23/11/2015
VISA GRANTED: 23/12/2015!!!!

VISA ACCEPTED MASHALLAH dates are from 11/12/15 to 10/1/16

Just a few points I wanted to share with you:

-I didn't attach IHS payment confirmation in my files
-my employment confirmation was more than 30 days old (it was dated for August and I submitted my papers in October)
-I didn't include a cover note telling my life story
-I didn't go to an expensive lawyer/solicitor (I paid £300)
-I gathered and assembled my file myself and then the solicitor checked it

Point I'm making is there is a lot of rumours and off-putting advice roaming amongst us. Bottom line is have the correct paper work, go to a reputable but cheap solicitor (many expensive solicitors see you as a number on a list as opposed to a person) and don't be fooled by the so called visa experts who are getting their own visas refused. I wish everyone the best of kismat and will prayer for all my brothers and sisters.

I'm not an expert but if you do need any advice or the contact of my solicitor please feel free to email me at : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and inshallah I will endeavour to aid my brothers and sister.

How can you bypass 28 days rule whereas it is clearly stated in FM 1.7 (3.3.8) evidence which falls under FM-SE(Financial requirements) must be dated no earlier than 28 days before the date of application.

You are misguiding people here i agree on the other points but you cant just ignore Fm 1.7 regulations and yes you can prepare your application by yourself but without making stupid errors.

You joined this forum 3 days ago (20th Nov 2015) and within 3 days its all done lol
good one Mr Tayyub.

People will get fooled by your fancy story and then they will contact you for consultation on the given id and that's what i say great advertising.

£300 for a solicitor to check the paperwork is quite a lot also...

I agree that you can get away with not including certain things, but you should strive to keep to the rules. My brother's wifes visa was granted and his employment letter was a few months old. However, mine wasn't granted because HR put the wrong year on mine so it was over a year old. So maybe I would have got away with it being a month or two old, but this time I made sure it was within the 28 days limit.

My advice to everyone would be to include as much details and information as possible, so that they can't turn around and say you left something out. It will also reduce your stress because you won't be wondering and worrying that you could have done more.

Hi Guys,

I didn't include the IHS reference in the documents I sent. Wasn't aware that this may be needed. Do you think that this could delay my application? Getting worried!!

Thanks

In the sponsor letter do you have to include a detailed story of how you and your spouse met and decided to get married? And what's the difference between the sponsor letter and cover letter? Thanks.
