How does rfc work? Can someone explain

Might be I am wrong but I think lot if visa applications during this period and British high commission staff is busy to entertained other type of catogories related to champions trophy like last year when there was Olympics in uk people had to wait like 4 to 5 months I think. If I am wrong please guide me ..

RFC: Ready For Collection, when gerrys will call or text you to say your documents and decision letter is here and ready for you to pick up.

The applications made towards the end of Feb have had their decisions made and papers/passports returned. applications made early march such as my wife’s, we should hear very soon, inshallah successfully, please pray for us.

at the time we made the application it was taking an average of 8weeks from submission to documents being returned. but at this moment in time its taking on average 12 weeks.

So now cus of the common wealth games ppl r gonna have 2 wait longer? What the hell do they do all day long? Like just stare at our wedding fotos and pick out flaws or somethin? Wen u no such events r comin up surely they would employ xtra staff or somethin jus so ppl r not messed about with or their workin time scale isn't ruined? Like really seriously I hope this will not be a repeat of last year april/may/june cases that took almost forever!

We applied on the 8th of May, but somehow, the message is still forwarded to Islamabad OC. I don't why it hasn't progressed further?

Anyone else in the same situation?

I seen that on UKBA website but its awful.. Student visas, visitor visas they do within a week.. As much scrutiny they do for them they do for settlement. I mean once they apply for ILR they go thru a lot again..

I understand student visa happening quickly as courses start etc- but visitor visa can wait tbh what's the urgency- its leisure really. I feel sorry for a few of the users here who hav been rejected for petty reasons..

Guys I feel for you all as I am in same situation applied in May got visa refused in November after 6+ months and now appealed deadline date is July so it has already been more than a year.

Before all this is over it looks like it is going to be 18 months + and the amount of money going back to Pakistan and UK is a nightmare. I do not understand what UKBA do when they take £900+ an application and then lawyers and the rest. The visa process including appeal in excess costs £2500 and more so it is a problem they should sort.

Now a days things are quicker as last year all applications from Feb-July took 6-7 months for a reply but now it is 2-4 months as according to UKBA website.

Hi Dude,

It was a slight error on my payslips of approx £2.00 per slip and also I got paid BACS and it stated CASH as I worked for a small company and even though employer wrote a letter but they could not be bothered contacting them.

Now it has been months cause of my error but also BHC error for not clarifying with the employer. Really fed up even though put a strong case of appeal with another letter from employer & now even accountant to clarify the matter.

Nope i am still waiting i applied on 8/3/13....and its 12 now, so hope for the next day now... i think you will get reply before then me coz u applied on 7 march.lets see what happened.

Sorry just to clear up a bit on confusion does the actual date start from when you submit the application or when it is under process at the BHC?
If is date of application then for me it has now been 12 weeks!

I am in the UK, my wife is in Paks....we gave them a number her contact number to which i believe they are meant to text!
