This is urgent, any advice will be appreciated need some clarification.
Firstly in regards to income, are they looking for 18,600 before tax (gross pay) or 18,600 after tax (net pay)
Secondly my solicitor received a letter from UKBA saying they will put my application on hold because i do not meet financial requirements.
They have not even mentioned my savings? Im sure on the application it says ur income plus savings count towards financial requirements. I showed bank statements of my savings, 6 month wage slips and my p60 with employment contract and employment certificate confirming my job and salary,
What the hell is going on?? Why would they put it on hold??
Pretty sure its 18,600 before tax (gross pay)
Also in regards to savings its really complicated ... you would require to have a really huge amount i think in your account like 30,000 odd because am pretty sure i read somewhere that the first 16,000 pound in savings they automatically ignore, and if you have more than 16,000 in savings then whatever is left over they will divide by 2 (husband and wife) THEN the excess money is what they will put towards your income.
So for example... £30,000 (savings) - £16,000 = £14,000
Then they will divide by 2 (husband and wife) £14,000 divide by 2 = £7,000
So if your incomes say 13,000 per annum they will add only the 7,000 (regardless of how much you have in total savings)
= £21,000.
Hope that makes sense
IF i am wrong then anyone feel free to correct me
No idea why..
