Aww, thank you - except my max time has come and gone :? It's almost been 28 weeks now! It's pretty horrible. In other countries you could have probably made like two applications in that time and got a decision too and we're still waiting for one lousy reply :(

We never received a delay e-mail or anything either. Has somebody pasted the template onto the forum? How long after applying did you receive it if you don't mind me asking?

Nope, not self-employed. Is that sometimes a reason for the delay? In my case it doesn't apply but yet we're still waiting...

Application: (LHE) 19/07/13
Status: Visa under process since 01/08/13

Salaam All

Any september applicants had RFC yet?

My husband had a call requesting english translated nikaah nama, which we submitted within 2 days. Does this mean the application is on hold as such? Im not clear on how you know if your application is on hold. Can any fellow members clarify for me please?

Salaam saf786

Thanks for explaining that to me. Neither me or my husband have received a letter or email saying that the application is on hold. Although we were asked to submit the english translated nikaah nama. Its been a week since we have submitted it, but judging by everyone elses times lines the BHC still take time to respond even after submitting further documents.

I dont understand why they give you such short deadlines to submit further documents yet they dont get back to you till months on end.
Just to give you guys an update, It has been over 7 months since my wife applied for her visa and we have not been put on hold. I have emailed BHC a number of times asking the reason for the delay but they started ignoring my emails in December. I then asked my wife to email them a couple of weeks ago and they replied today saying
"...I can confirm that this case is currently being processed but we cannot make a decision until all of our checks are completed. we will do this as soon as we can but cannot give you a precise timframe at present...."

I don't understand what checks they are doing cos they haven't contacted my employer etc.

I think the next step will be to contact my local MP!
salamalikum have you heard anything i am waiting since august

Hey issysak19,

I applied the same way as you under the exemption of the financial rules. How many wage slips and bank statements did you submit if you don't mind me asking and also where did you apply from.

They don't tell me in my emails .. Once it said deferred which was before I submitted my additional documents but after they don't write deferred or anything , just that it's in process with ongoing check ups
