He needs to use the reference number which she is sent details to through SMS and through emails.

@ jalebi

I'm having the same problem tracking my husbands spouse application too, even though I'm using the same number they gave to him.

Ours starts with GRY/PK/ then goes on with numbers, don't know what the problem is.

That's not the tracking number. The tracking number starts with the name of the city where you submitted your application. for eg I submitted my app in Lahore so my tracking number is LHE/------/-----/-

It is under process, they just haven't updated yoru status online or sent you a email/text.

Don't worry it's with them and yours is being process, the 3/4 month wait has begun, I urge you to not fret or get impatient as it will take time for them to process completely.

Asalam Alaikum and Ramadhan Mubarak to all...

Guys, is it common practice for delays to occur by the BHC whilst processing applications?

Its just certain friends and even certain people on here have submitted their applications after my wife submitted hers and they've already been granted their visa's where as we're still awaiting an outcome?

As far as i'm aware there shouldn't be any major issues in our documentation as we meet the requirements quite comfortably so not sure why we haven't heard anything as of yet whereas others have.. Hope nothing has gone wrong :(

They do say up to 24 weeks for applications and you still have four weeks for them to reply to you yet but don't be disheartened because it doesn't mean that there is a problem. But if you are worried you can always email them maybe that will help get a response. You've been very patient to wait this long so what's another 4 weeks even though I can appreciate its hard. Hope u hear soon

This is the first email I sent to my mp on 11/07/12.
To find your local mp, google MY LOCAL MP

Email

Dear sir

I was hoping you could assist me with enquiring about my spouse visa application which I should have had a reply for after 12 weeks of application and it's now the 14th week, many people have had assistance from their local mp and have had a reply within days of their local mp contacting the british high commission. I would be very greatfull if you could assist me with  this urgent matter so that my spouse can join me and we can continue with our lives here in uk.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanking you in advance

Yes you will need to give sponsors name and address
And applicants name dob and the tracking no provided by gerrys

I believe contacting your MP not only speeds up the process a little, as I've seen from previous posts of people that did get their MP involved they were all granted their visas, it's possible that once Eco/ bhc see that you have got your MP involved you are capable of questioning any neglect or wrong decision being made on their part, just my opinion.

This is the email I received this afternoon from my MP after enquiring if she had heard anything from bhc.

Dear Mr. Shah,

I have just received an email from the UK Border Agency and this is set out below.

Thanks you for your email of 11 July on behalf of Mr ...........about his wife Ms .........visa application.

I can confirm an application was submitted on 4 April 2012. This was considered and granted on 24 July 2012.

If she has not already done so, Ms .........should contact their local Visa Application Centre and arrange the collection of her documents.

I trust this is of assistance to you.

Regards
