Need some help please
Am tier 1 general (recently got my extension - May) and have been living with my wife who has been on student visa (3 year visa) since Jan.
With this change of rules, would want to switch her visa to my dependent before the bar gets higher in July.
I know that she needs to return to country of origin to apply; however my dilemma is in the maintenance funds.
I guess my question is
1. Can I use the same evidence I used for my application to support her application (i.e I used my reserve account which has £800. In theory, I can now reduce the reserve amount to £600 and send in support of her application). This is because that is the only amount I have that is more than 90 days. I am having a feeling this is unlikely......
2. Or can my wife use her (out of UK) bank account to show the maintenance (I think this is likely but in case there is something I did not know that will stop us)
3. Or since she on scholarship, can a letter from her scholarship provider be used in place of maintenance funds? I know tier 4 can do this.
Thanks for your input........

Basically for maintenance fund, you can combine any number of bank accounts(in your or your spouse name) either from UK or your home country, provided each statement confirms to the standards(bank logo, account holder name, and other details).

Yes. You can use.
what do they mean by the text below (from guidance document)
45. For example, the Tier 1 Migrant has been in the UK for 6 months and is making an application
at the same time as his/her spouse and two children. He/she must show that he/she has £1800 for
his spouse and a further £1800 for each child, in addition to £900 required for his/her own support.
In total the family will require evidence that they hold £6300 in available funds (£1800 x 3 = £5400
+ £900).
46. If the same Tier 1 Migrant and his family had been present in the UK for two years, they would
require evidence that they held £2700 (£600 x 3 = £1800 + £900) in available funds.
47. If a family member applies separately from the Tier 1 Migrant, there must still be enough funds
to support each member of the family. Therefore in the example above, if the family has a third
child, the main applicant has been in the United Kingdom for two years and the family applies
for leave to remain for the third child separately, they must provide evidence that they have an
additional £600 in available fund
