Domestic violence

I have a friend suffering from domestic violence, insults and physical hurt. She stop me to call the police because she is an illegal immigrant. How can I help her. Can a British citizen protect her of being deported?
she have 10 years living in the UK but 7 years ago she travelled for one month to her country.
