Hi - my wife's waiting on a decision from the HMRC about her Indefinite Leave to Remain application, and she wants to apply to a new interpretation agency here in Glasgow. Unfortunately, they're almost certainly going to ask to see her passport, or so I understand. Her passport - as well as mine - are still with HMRC while the ILR application is being processed, with no idea about when we might get it back. Does anyone know if there's a way to apply for work without a passport at this time?

Why would HMRC be holding up your passport? Strange if they do? Or did you mean UKBA?

Errr, is it UKBA? Whoever it is you send the form and the bank statements and the passports and the Set(M) form to.
