Settlement - Tier 1 (General) migrant

Post by KD1 » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:02 am

Hi,

I currently have my Tier 1 visa stamped on my existing passport which i valid till 2013.
However there are no blank pages available on this passport and I was planning to get a new passport from the Indian Embassy.

I have a ILR appointment at Liverpool PEO on the 3rd of August. Should I wait for the ILR appointment before getting a new passport or does that have no bearing on my case at all?

Thanks,
KD1

No need as UKBA no longer issues paper visa for ILR. Instead you will be issued with a biometrics card. So your passport will have nothing to show you have been granted ILR.

Thanks for the confirmation. Will probably get my new passport after the ILR - not planning to travel or get any other visa's for now anyways.

Apologies for the long post.

I've researched quite bit on this forum and have now come up with a summary of immigration history and a list of documents that I will collate, collect and prepare for my ILR PEO appointment in Liverpool on the 3rd of August.
I will also be submitting the application for my wife (dependent on my current visa) at the same time.

Any words of advice or caution or any other help is greatly appreciated along with any feedback on the list of documents below.

Thanks in advance,
KD1
