Early extension by 7 months

Hi All,

Is it possible to apply for my Tier 1 visa extension 8 months prior to my current visa expiry?

Current visa expires on March 2013.
Eligible for ILR by August 2013.

Can I apply for my visa extension by August 2013?

While generally extension applications are submitted close to the time when your "leave to remain" expires (to ensure that an applicant then goes onto meet the 5 year residency requirement for ILR with a minimum number of Tier 1 extensions), you can apply for an extension at any time.

You must have meant Aug 2012. This should not have any bearing on the time taken for the decision.
