Spouse visa Biometric card

Post by new_to_this89 » Thu Jul 05, 2012 4:01 pm

Hello there

I am originally from India and gay (you will see the reason to mention my sexuality on here) . Been here for last 4 years as a student. In the beginning of this year, I applied for spouse visa leave to remain. My Biometric card says "Spouse/Partner Visa" which is fine.

My family does not know about my sexuality or my new visa. They would like to visit me for couple of weeks for which they need a photocopy of my passport and biometric card.

I am worried of the fact that they might start wondering why the card says spouse/partner on it! Also, if they are called for an interview at Mumbai, and if the officer in charge questions them about this, it might just shake them up completely.

Let me tell you, I am not going to come out to my family. Please could any suggest a way out of this. Thank you.

Ricky

The only way out of it is to not sponsor their trip to UK as a "family visitor".
