EEA 1 (SELF-EMPLOYED) + EEA2

Post by LondonEast » Sun Jul 08, 2012 4:57 pm

Timeline

19/05/12= EE1+EE2: Application sent
22/05/12= EE1+EE2: Application received by UK Border
06/07/12= EE1+EE2: Application returned because of insufficient evidence of self-employment status for EEA National

I would like to know if anyone has applied with the following or similar circumstances,:

- The EEA National is self-employed. My husband register as a self-employed only 6 months ago, in January, so hasn't had to pay taxes or use an accountant yet. We sent a the letter that the HM Revenue sent him saying he has enrolled as a self-employed, plus invoices and bank statements.

- Our next step is to then pay whatever taxes are there before the actual date and visit an accountant just to have the evidence of it. Before self-employed he was a student and that is how he was exercising his Treaty rights. Should we also state this and add evidence of past status?

Any advice will be much appreciate it!
